Kayastha Home Stay is a home stay facility that offers bed, breakfast and dinner for its guest as per their need. It operates with a motto ' better quality lower cost'. You can stay at our place if you choose to have a homely environment that too with a Newari Hospitality. Newars are the indigenous people of Kathmandu that are well known for their scrumptious foods and warm hospitality. There are four single rooms available which are totally wheelchair accessible. We therefore have a disabled friendly accommodation services. The surrounding is very peaceful. We can tell you more about Nepal and inform you about the culture here. If you are interested in cooking, we are happy to teach you to cook Newari and Nepali food. Delicious Nepali meals will be provided to you everyday. We promise that you will have quality time and memorable stay. Join us to know more about us.

About the Area
Our house is located on the way to the famous Suryabinayak Ganesh Temple. We are 300 metres away from the Suryabinayak Bus Station and 25 minutes drive from the airport. It only takes 5 minutes to reach the Suryabinayak bus station from the house and there are numerous bus options to choose from. Our house is located in between Kathamandu (Capital city of Nepal) and Dhulikhel, so travelling to 'most beautiful places while in Kathmandu and Dhulikhel' would be much easier.

House Rules
1. Meal Times: Breakfast will be provided in the morning in between 7am to 8 am. The evening meal is the time when the family sits and eats together and discuss about daily events. This is one of the family tradition for the bonding among each other. We usually eat between 7pm to 8pm. If you are not coming home for meal, you should telephone or text us before 5pm. Additional food and beverages will not be provided.
2. Laundry: You can wash your clothes yourself. But an extra cost will be charged if you want somebody else to do your laundry.
3. Bedroom: You will have your private bedroom and everyone will respect privacy of each other's bedroom. Please keep your bedroom clean and tidy. You will have 24 hours Wifi facility in your bedroom. Please place your rubbish in the bins provided to you. When you leave the bedroom and bathroom, kindly switch off the light. Use alternative light provided to you during load shedding. We will vacuum your room once a week.
4. Bathroom: You may be sharing the bathroom and toilet with other home stay guests. Hot /cold water shower is available. Please keep the bathroom clean so that it is clean for another person. Please respect the necessity for water conservation and take less time for shower.
5. Safety: Never open the door to strangers.
6. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed inside house.
7. Do not damage the furniture or other equipments in any way. Any kind of damages is to be paid for.
8. Respect the household rules.
9. Please talk to us if you have any concerns or problems. We will try our best to solve it for you.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
