A house made for you! The apartment is very well located, simple but cozy. The decoration is hand made with recycled and re used material. Some of the furniture was hand painted by us. All very personalized!! Come if you want to live like a real portuguese @ Alfama!!! to feel at home while traveling.
Centrally located in Lisbon’s heart, Alfama is a historic and entertainment neighborhood full of traditional ambiance providing the perfect Portuguese atmosphere.(gay friendly).

Our place is cozy , quiet, and hides on the 4rd floor in an ancient building as most buildings in Alfama. Hearsay is that it used to be a convent in the early days.
These are 2 connected apartments that share a patio. One of the apartments, where me and my husband live, is a real close experience where we sleep on a sofa bed in the living room ( for 8 years now) And we get amazing guests. We share meals. Go out together have fun.
The second apartment is independent so the guests can have their privacy but shared the same way.
We all hang out at can share great moments together with us as they please. We stay at the patio most of the time. This is where we play music, have meals, like barbecues and other meals.
We DON'T HAVE CENTRAL HEATING only a portable one
From here you can reach by foot cultural and famous places as Panteão Nacional, Fado Museum, Feira da Ladra (flea market), churches, São Jorge Castle and several fabulous view points and gardens. You are 5 minutes walking from one stop of the route of tram 28, the most scenic tram in Lisbon...
You'll also be very close from Santa Apolónia Station (5 minutes walking) where you can find the main public transport: bus, train and metro. If you prefer to use a car, you can park it without any problem or charge, close to Santa Apolónia Station.
At night you can enjoy a full hand of typical bars and restaurants, where you can be delighted by hearing Portuguese Fado songs. You also have some pubs and the famous disco “Lux” nearby. If you want to go to Bairro Alto, one of the neighborhoods full of night life in the city, you can go by metro (10 minutes) or walking (20 min).

I speak Inglês, french, spanish and Italian fluently. My husbad speaks a little french and some Inglês and of course Portuñol

About the Area
-TRANSPORTATION: You'll be very near (about 5 minutes walking to) to the Santa Apolonia Station, where you can find the main public transport, like bus, train and metro. You are 10 minutes away from the ferry que take you to the other side of the river. And guess what: you'll be about 5 minutes walking from one of the 28 tram stop! THEY ALL TAKE YOU DOWNTOWN. But it is not far to walk either. You will be very well located surrounded by bars, cafes and restarants. Besides being close to meny view ponts, the gates of the sun and St. Stephen. Also you will be close to the flea market, the most famose flee market in Portugal.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
