Super central but cosy and quiet

We open our home to guests based on mutual trust. It isn’t a hotel or a boarding house with locks on doors: we don’t have on ours, and in fact I leave my room open to allow air to flow through the apartment. Andrea’s first interaction to me was to destroy that mutual trust when I suggested he do the same so his room could get air in the day (it is clear in the listing that the room is interior and as such doesn’t have a window) by acting nervously and saying he was worried about having his things stolen and as such was tying together his doors with his bag strings…a very strange interaction. It put all of us a bit on edge to have someone we had taken the risk to invite into our home where everything we own is, be acting suspiciously. To add insult to injury he then repeatedly invited strangers into our hole and yet couldn’t see the irony that he was telling us he didn’t trust us to not steal his things…
With regards to the couple they were other guests who were renting my room whilst I was away. My housemate who was in the room next door to them had no problems and as such nobody thought it was a problem as Andrea didn’t say anything to me (if he had I could’ve intervened) or anyone else about it being a problem until he got quite aggressive with me after we had to ask him to a) clean up after himself b) not invite people into our home without asking or even warning us (his excuse for these things was ‘he didn’t know the rules’….rules of basic consideration of being a guest) c) not to take things we had specifically said he couldn’t.
With regards to the fan there is one for the living room that could be borrowed if returned in time for my housemate to work in there but Andrea spent all day laying on the couch and went out at 11pm and returned at…I’m not sure what time I’m the morning. The previous guest had followed my advice of leaving the room to air in the day (there are balconies at both ends of the apartment and right to the side of the room that are left open all day for air to flow, and the benefit of the room being in the centre of the flat and without an outside wall is that it doesn’t heat up as much as the other rooms) and had found it quite cool to sleep (at night….thw other problem was that Andrea was often out at night so slept during the day). If he had discussed this with us properly something could’ve been worked out but instead he acted like child, taking things without asking then being sullen when we asked him to behave responsibly and with consideration for others.
