Our comfortable home-hotel «Kakoste» is located on the bank of the mountain river Sava Dolinka. A little bridge over the river is exactly opposite the house. The mountain Srednji Vrh, covered by snow, rises right behind the back yard, and from the windows and the verandah of the house opens a breathtaking view of snowy peaks of Julian Alps.
The words “calm and beautiful” describe our hotel rather well.
We, your hosts (Katya, Oles, and our red cat Vasya), live on the first floor, while the entire second floor is at guests’ disposal.

About the Area
The largest mountain ski resort in Slovenia, Kranska Gora, is located approximately 3 km from our house. Besides downhill skiing, snowboarding, and sledging, the tourists can visit one of the most beautiful national parks in the Alps: the Triglavski National Park. This park can not leave anybody indifferent thanks to its untouched natural beauty. There are waterfalls, lakes. cliffs, caves, and alpine meadows in the park.
In the town of Kranska Gora, a tourist can find places of rest or entertainment to anybody’s taste: from saunas with swimming pools to casinos. There are billiard halls, night clubs, various shopping centers, cafes, and restaurants.
The famous lake Bled, a real treasury in the palms of ancient Alps, is only 30 km from our area.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
