My husband and I live in a large family home 100m from world renowned Sunset Beach. You can have your own private cottage with separate entrance - self catering with own full kitchen or eat in. Whether you like kite surfing, taking long walks on the beach, vising the many beautiful attractions in Cape Town or just socialising at home, this is the perfect place for you. We have a sparkling pool and BBQ area which you can use.
Sunset Beach is a safe and quiet suburb with regular patrols. Rich in "fynbos" vegetation, it is a true Cape Town gem.
The cottage can sleep 2 or 4 people with a large lounge/dining room, full kitchen and one bathroom. Off street parking for 1 vehicle.
My two children have left home - one is in USA and one is in university, but we still offer loads of hospitality!

About the Area
Our home is centrally located - 13kms to the centre of Cape Town. Cape Town International Airport is 28kms away. The beach is 2 minutes walk away, over beautiful natural sand dunes. The closest shop is 1km away at the entrance to Sunset Beach. Bayside Mall (large mall) is 4kms away in Table View.
The MyCiti bus route is a convenient mode of transport in and around the larger Cape Town area, and the closest bus stop is 1km away (10 minutes walk). Buses leave at regular intervals from 5h30 until 22h00 (including public holidays).

Please keep our home secure by locking the gate on your way in or out. Please keep noise to a minimum, and no smoking inside the cottage.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
