Hello, my name is Ally Kim and I am pleased to write to you who are interested in staying in Gangneung, well-known tourist city having hosted the the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.
My place is 15 minutes away from KTX Gangneung station by taking a taxi. You can learn about traditional Korean foods and Korean language in my house, and also get hands-on experience from the nearby historic heritage sites.
There is one comfortable room and a personal bathroom for the visitors. I can speak English and French, so I am prepared to welcome foreign guests with open arms, and give you local travel information.
I had a wonderful homestay opportunity during the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. I had several guests in my home, I really enjoyed the time and felt they were part of my family. I invite you to stay with at my house and I can head out for a city tour with you if it falls on my days off.

Ally was very helpful with information from the time of the booking through to staying at her new, comfortable and very clean apartment. Being able to communicate in English made the arrangements much easier. Ally is very knowledgeable about South Korea and was willing to provide valuable recommendations from history, nature through to restaurants. Thank you for a memorable visit to your home and city.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
