Double bedroom in a cozy and sunlit flat in the neighbourhood of Gracia, a stone's throw from Park Güell and a short walk from the bustling plazas that make this neighbourhood a favourite for locals. Creative people welcome!
My flat is located in calle Escorial, very near Metro Joanic and right on the edge of Gracia, a beautiful and bohemian neighbourhood full of plazas, cafes, bars and cute little shops that make it a favourite for locals. It is also less than a ten-minute walk from Park Güell (you can actually see it from the balcony!) and close enough to the heart of Gracia for you to enjoy it by day or night, but far enough to get a good night's sleep if the streets get rowdy, particularly during Fiestas de Gracia!
The flat is on the third floor (actually the fifth if you count the ground floor and the "entresuelo") which means it has plenty of light all day long. You will be sharing the space with me and my flatmate, another girl. We have a lovely living room where you can relax and watch TV, listen to music, or grab any of the books from the library; a dining table that seats 3-4 people, as well as a really nice balcony where you can enjoy the sun, the views and the fresh air while you sit on the rocking chair or have your breakfast or evening drinks.
The kitchen is fully prepared for you to cook any of your meals, with a microwave, access to the fridge and obviously all the pots, pans and utensils I've acquired during the years!
I've lived here for many years and have made this house my home, so it's full of little details and things that I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

About the Area
I've been living in Gracia for the past ten years and it is one of the loveliest and most authentic neighbourhoods in Barcelona. It is known for its plazas and the life that goes around them, with cafes, bars, restaurants, arthouse cinemas and cute little shops all fighting for your attention, making it feel like you're in a village within the city.

House Rules
I will be sending you the house guide by email, please read it carefully!
I expect every guest to feel at home and take care of the house as if it were theirs. This means all the common areas are open for you to use at your leisure but we also expect that they are left as they were found. You can use the kitchen to cook your meals and will have a shelf and a space in the fridge for your food, as well as lots of spices, cooking oil, coffee, sugar, etc. Please wash your dishes when you're done, that way we can keep everything clean for everyone! Please note we recycle and try to not produce too much plastic waste, I will explain better when you arrive but let me know if you have any questions :)
You can also use the washing machine, you can help with 3€ per wash for water and washing products costs.
You are free to go in and out as you please but mind the noise after a certain time since there are families living in the building and the neighbours are very sensitive to noise on the stairs. If you are planning to bring anyone else into the house please let me know in advance (no sleepovers though).
Smoking is only allowed in the balcony.
Pets are not allowed, sorry!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
