WE CAN PROVIDE REFERENCES FROM PREVIOUS GUESTS (we've hosted 3 aupairs, an English and two American families, we are still in touch with all of them. They've all been wonderful and enriching experiences for all of us)
Our house is just in the historical centre of a very nice town, Mataró, which is 20 minutes drive from Barcelona and 40 minutes by train. The house is 10 minutes walk from a very nice family beach and it is sorrounded by a pedestrian area full of nice shops, little restaurants and pubs. On the ground floor, there is a big guests' room with a double bed and a desk. There is also a toilet on the ground floor that the guest can use.
On the first floor, we have a big kitchen (that can be used by the guest) with a dining area and a separate dining room with a TV and an exit to our little terrace. On this floor there is also a bathroom with bath, toilet and basin that the guest can use. The family bedrooms and other bathroom are on the second floor.

About the Area
The area where we live is the historical centre of Mataró, a town situated 20 min drive from Barcelona and 1h from La Costa Brava. The house is on a pedestrian area with nice shops, a beautiful market, a supermarket and different types of restaurants and pubs.
It is very close to the train station and 20 minutes walk from the university in Mataró (Tecno campus)

*PAYMENT: You can pay by cash, bank transfer, bizum or paypal. We ask you to pay for the first month on your arrival and the following ones at the beginning of the month.

I have been with Ingrid and family for 3 months. I could say, before I came here, I can never image I would have an opportunity to meet such a wonderful family. All the famliy members in this house are considerate and helpful. They always respect my privacy. They are always willing to help and have great communications with me. They always try to let me have more new experience, which I enjoyed and appreciated a lot. You will always feel you are really a part of this family if you be with them. And in this house, there is always enjoyable music(since the kids love music and art, and they are more than good at them )
During these three months, I felt happy, lucky and grateful everyday. Because of this fantastic family, I had an extremely perpect exchange experience. Thank you very much, Ingrid and family, I will miss you, and I will try my best to come back to visit you again. I really really really like you and your great family. ;p
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
