Carol lives in a nice duplex in the historic center of Mataró just 10 minutes walk from the railway station and the beach. The apartment has two spacious and bright rooms and a full bath downstairs and a spacious dining room, kitchen, bathroom and private terrace on the top. Carol works as a nurse at the hospital in a nearby town and have some free time to spend with your guests. There have already been several times to students and trainees. Her hobbies are dancing, going to concerts, trekking and cooking.

About the Area
My flat is located in the historic center of the city, behind the city hall. It's a pretty lively area, full of shops and cafes and restaurants and only 10 minutes walk from the beach. My city is very well connected to Barcelona with buses and railways daily.

House Rules
Pets are not allowed inside the house. Smoking only on the terrace but is allowed. Reduce noise past midnight. It is allowed to use the kitchen whenever you pick up after use. It is not allowed to invite strangers in the house without notice. Enjoy your stay and treated my house as you would your own.

Are you looking for a place to stay in Mataró, but you prefer to stay with a local instead of a student apartment? Look. No. Further!
Carol is an experienced host with enough proficiency in the English and Spanish language to help you with every question or problem you might have.
The apartment is located in the city centre, only 20min away from the TecnoCampus and 10min away from the beach.I've really enjoyed my Erasmus experience in Spain and Carol has added so much value to this experience.. That I would give a higher rating if it were possible!

Carol is a lovely host, always in a good mood and has plenty of exciting stories to tell about her travelling adventures.

I could feel at home!
The apartment is very modern and clean! The location is perfect. Located right in the center with many fresh markets, bars, restaurants and shops. The payment went very well. Carol is a very cosmopolitan, friendly and helpful person. That was together easily. On the first day Carol gave me important information such as a map and bus schedule. My university Tecnocampus was just 15-20 minutes walking and 10 minutes by bus. The beach was also only 15 minutes. Carol and I cooked Catalan and Spanish dishes. I spoke to her in English and Spanish. It was not a problem. I can only recommend Carol's apartment.June 2015

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
