Please keep the safety of our home and locked the main door when you enter and leave Please do not adjust the heating. Just ask me and I will happy for you If you want to use the kitchen, do it, but clean it after! Keep noise to a minimum after midnight please do not invite strangers into our home; if you want to invite a friend, tell me before you enjoy your stay and take care our house as if it were your own.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Alicia, Robert and their family. I was made to feel very welcome at their home, given a lovely room and was able to spend my days as I wished, be it staying in the house relaxing, exploring the small town, or travelling further out to nearby cities. All of the family were very hospitable and helped me with any questions I had about travelling, about the culture and also about the language. I was able to really practice my Catalan, and now have a fuller understanding, and more confidence in speaking. The town itself is really nice, small and friendly but with beautiful vineyards and wineries. Robert is a fantastic cook and I always looked forward to eating meals with the family. I would really recommend staying with Alicia and family, they made me feel at home and I had a great time.

Staying with Robert, Alicia, and Arnau was the highlight of my visit to Barcelona. They are a wonderful, caring family, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and at home. They live is a small village 20 minutes from downtown Barcelona and just minutes away from the train station. This gave easy access to Barcelona while also enjoying a small town experience. I strongly advise sharing meals with them as they are wonderful cooks and charming to spend time with. They were very helpful with directions and suggestions of things to see and do. It was a heartwarming experience and I would love to stay with them again in the future.

Our family lives in Minnesota, USA and wanted to see the beauty of Barcelona. What a wonderful treat we experienced with our very first home stay experience. Our three days in Spain were truly wonderful. Alicia, Robert and Arnau were very supportive in giving us information about the sights of Barcelona and help in negotiating the transportation system. Alicia and Robert's modern multi-level home is situated in a small town about 45 minutes from central Barcelona by train. The small town is also home to major Cava (Champagne) and wine vineyards. Be sure to ask Alicia to make reservations for a tour while there. We traveled to the beautiful seaside town of Sitges with Robert and Arnau's help. The train ride along the coast from Sitges to Barcelona is not to be missed. Our family of 3 really found the home accommodations very comfortable, meals to be delicious and family to be very supportive and engaging. Arnau was a lifeline when we needed help in the English language. We came as strangers and left as friends. We have had a wonderful stay with Alicia and her family. Great location. Can easily get to Barcelona on the train, and also easily get to the beach (Sitges) and the mountains (Monsterrat). Alicia provided detailed information for all of our adventures, city and countryside. Lovely meals and conversation with the whole family.

My sister and I had a great stay with Alicia and Roberto! They made us feel right at home and gave us a beautiful room. We had great meals with them and they organized a visit for us to see the production of Cava and the seaside town of Sitges. It couldn't have been a better stay or a nicer family!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
