Your independent, private room in a secluded corner of a garden situated in a modern home. The cozy bed with a latex mattress and linen pillows will accommodate two guests. The room is not air-conditioned but has a fan and has windows which opens to a beautiful garden make it extra cool.
Guests will have there own private bathroom filled with all required toiletries.
We provide fresh linen and towels and can be changed on request.
You will have access to your own private room and private bathroom, with a separate entrance and private sitting area. . You will also have access to a garden through your private sitting area, with which we hope you don't mind sharing with us.
There is a internet connection (WIFI) with free access available, so are Mosquito repelling vaporizers.
We are a family of four. My brother and I work full time so we will be busy during the day. But my father who is a retired contractor and my mother who is a housewife will be home and they will be more than happy to help guests.
We love Sri Lanka, and would be very happy to share what we know about our island home with our guests. While we enjoy meeting new people, we also believe in respecting your privacy, and are open to interaction as much (or as little) as you would like.
We provide airport drops for LKR 2500.
Otherwise traveling is easy, you can walk by foot and access many areas below or take a short tuk-tuk ride
Fort railway station is only 10 kilometers away from my home. My father will be happy to drop or pick up guests from the fort railway station free of charge. Public bus station is walking distance. A short tuk-tuk ride which is very cheap will get you anywhere you want to go listed above. We love tuk-tuks here in Sri Lanka. A fun way to get around.
Cancellation Policy: We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation or changes to an existing reservation. Any cancellations or changes later than this will not be refunded.

About the Area
Colombo is a beautiful city, and we're lucky that our home is few kilometers away from the heart of it. Colombo's largest park, Viharamahadevi Park, as well as the National Museum, the National Art Gallery, and Galle Face Green and the beach are only minutes away by tuk tuk. Independence Square, Independence Arcade, the Dutch Hospital Complex, and the Colombo Fort are a few of the near by attractions minutes away by tuk tuk.
There is a lot to do in the area and can be done by taking a walk or a short tuk-tuk ride

Noisy location not cozy. Single bed sheets provided for a double bed. Bathroom very ordinary. Would suggest you further investigate options.

Dear Alan, Colombo is a busy city so everywhere is slightly noisy. We have one double bed in the room. If two guests are coming we provide two single bed sheets. One for each person. If you need more bed sheets you can simply request from us and we can provide but. The bathroom is a perfectly clean bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. Please check the reviews of other guests we have never received a complaint. Note this guest booked the room for 5 days and upon arrival informed that they are staying only 2 days and going to Kandy saying there is nothing to do in Colombo. They didn't bother to follow the reservation agreement. We humbly accepted this request to provide good hospitality which is not mentioned in the review.

The place is like the photo. Very confortable bed, clean bedsheets and towels, upper bedsheet also that is very rare to find in India and SriLanka, and without that humidity smell. The place is in a quiet area, but there is a super market and a restaurant just next to the house. There is a bus station also just outside. It is a private room with independant entrance. No hot water. Ashan is a nice host and arranged me a taxi to the airport in a very good price. Thank you Ashan, and brother.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
