Our family lives in a 4 bedroom charming family home, designed by Geoffrey Bawa award winning architect, built 5 years back.
Nugegoda is a city 6 km away from central Colombo. The house is situated in a highly residential area and you can walk to Nugegoda town within 10 minutes where you can access shopping malls, the train station,bus station,cinema, all the banks, Sri Lankan meals and international cuisine from vegetarian to non veg, range of fast food chains from MacDonald’s, Dominos, Pizza Hut, KFC, two major supermarkets Cargills and Keells.
The High Level Road is a 10 minutes walk(The main bus route connects Colombo). Its only 20 minutes to the Galle Road, Galle/Matara highway,and beaches of Mount Lavinia and Dehiwala by tuk tuk (three wheeler).
The place is ideal for short/long stay business tourists, students on study tours or on research and for visitors engaging in consultancies.

There are buses on the road and it will take 10 minutes by foot to the High Level road. Meter taxis/ 3 wheelers are readily available.

30 minutes to Colombo 07 by a taxi where you can see the museum, shop at Bearfoot Gallery or other shopping moles in Colombo

There are restaurants within five to ten minutes walk from the house with a choice of Sri Lankan meals and international cuisine from vegetarian to non veg. Range of fast food chains from MacDonald’s, Dominos, Pizza Hut, KFC are available round the corner.
Two major supermarkets Cargills and Keells are around the corner within 10 minutes walk.
All banks HSBC,Bank of Ceylon,Sampath Bank,Commercial are available around the corner with ATMs.

House Rules
1. Extra guests are not allowed for security reasons.
2. Smoking is not allowed inside the premises.
3. Feel free to use the kitchen/pantry/public areas but please clean afterwords and keep the used utensils in their places.
4.Not to play loud music which will disturb the inhabitants and the neighbors
5. Not to hung or paste anything on the walls
6. To separate garbage before disposing as wet and dry as advised by the host to comply with the municipality rules of the area
7. Any damages to the goods and property more than LKR 1000 need to be paid by the guest.
8.To use the premises only as residential purposes and not to use the premises for any illegal or immoral purposes.
9. Not to invite or allow entering any unauthorized person to the premises without the written consent of the host.
Payment Method and Cancellation Policy
Payment Method: Please note that we require our guests to pay 50% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room (on top of the 15% deposit is paid to Homestay.com)Unless the 50% is paid we will not hold your room.
Guests have to pay the remaining 50% the day they arrive to the premises.
Cancellation Policy: We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation before the check in date. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.
After checked in failure to adhere the above house rules can result in terminating the booking premature. In such a situation the host will give 7 days notice to the guests if its one month booking. If the booking is more than for a month, 14 days notice will be given.
Security Deposit :
Bookings more than 7 days will include a refundable security deposit. The security deposit will be used to cover any breakages during the occupancy by the guest/guests. Host will share the amount for security deposit before the booking takes place.
Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
