Our home is a large detached Victorian house built in 1853, in a quiet location backing onto Birkenhead Park, set back from the road with a big off-street parking area.
Available for rent are 2 spacious (5m x 4m) 1st floor bedrooms overlooking the back garden. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, chair, TV, a convertible child-sized single bed and a 2-seater sofa that converts to a small bed suitable for children. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, desk, TV and small convertible sofa, suitable for a child. Both rooms share a private shower room across the hall.

We have 4 cats so our property is not suitable for people with pet allergies. The house is not suitable for children under 3 due to the large gaps in the banisters.

About the Area
Our house backs onto Birkenhead Park. Local shops, restaurants (pizza, burgers, Indian food, fish and chips, sushi) and pubs are 5 minutes walk from the house. There are also 2 cafes open from 7am to 5pm, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and cakes.
The pretty village of Oxton with its excellent restaurants is 5 minutes drive or a short bus ride away.
There are a dozen or so golf courses within a 30 minute drive, two of which (Royal Liverpool and Wallasey) are Championship courses.
Lovely beaches at Hoylake and West Kirby, and the Wirral Circular Walking Trail are 15-20 minutes drive away, or can easily be reached by public transport.
Liverpool city centre is 15 minutes by car, or 25 minutes by bus, ferry or train.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
This is a Victorian property. The stairs and banisters are not suitable for babies and toddlers, therefore we cannot accept children under 3 years old.
No parties or events. Only guests listed on the reservation are allowed access.
No use of kitchen or washing machine. Fresh linens and towels will be provided on weekly basis for bookings of 1 week or more. If you need to wash clothes we can direct you to a self-serve laundromat 5 minutes from the house, open 24/7.
Please notify us ASAP of any spills, breakages, etc. or if supplies of coffee, tea, toilet paper, etc. need replenishing during your stay.
Unreturned / lost house keys will be charged £25.
We have 4 cats therefore the property is not suitable for someone with pet allergies, and we cannot accept bookings with pets.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
