We booked with Carole to host one of our lovely volunteers for 29 nights. This was our first time finding host families through Homestay and we found the website very confusing, especially about when and how to pay the balance. Unfortunately we couldn't pay it online and as she couldn't accept a credit card either, we had to generate our own invoice for Carole which took longer to process than she was comfortable with (invoices can take up to 30 days). Lesson learned and now we know how the site works so we can approach it better next time! Despite this, Giuseppe had a great time at Carole's place and particularly appreciated the free food!

Carole is such a hospitable person and nothing is too much trouble for her. She loves looking after people, offers her guests all the services of her house, a welcome at the family table, and all at such a reasonable price. I would recommend her to anybody.

Booked for a month, staying for the year...
Arrived at a strangers house and now feel like a member of the family. Accomodating and friendly Carol and Pete will welcome you in with open arms. With a skill of selecting the "right people" to stay here, your house mates will soon become your "brothers and sisters". Ideal for BU students as a short (10-15 minute) walk from Talbot campus. Plenty of free, quiet roadside parking straight outside the house. Smoking allowed outside the house and friends are welcome to come over for dinner etc., Finally some useful words of wisdom/good manners: rooms are vacuumed but you'll need to tidy it; snuggly bedding provided but you might like to buy yourself a second pillow; you'll probably need to share your room, although that's not a major issue as your house mates soon become your best friends; Carol is the boss "although Pete likes to pretend he is; foods available to make your own breakfast and lunch but dinner will be provided, including a yummy pud! Recommend to all (Carol organises other home stays in the area so if she's fully booked she can help you "find a family", although I cannot provide ratings for them).September 2016
Peter and Carole are really nice and helpful! The room was grate and tidy and the food was delicious. They will always be my first choice to live at Bournemouth. I will miss them and cats!

The best hosts I have ever met. Peter and Carole are now part of the family and vice-versa. During my stay, I believe I made lifelong friends. Plus, the house has a very familiar and welcoming ambiance. Last but not least, the cats are docile and thirsty for attention (aka cuddles and food). I intend to stay there for much longer next year.

The experience with Carole and Peter was brilliat, both are very nice and treated me as a member of the family. They became soon in part of mine, too. They are lovely and very helpful. I spent 25 days there and they helped me to achieve the main objective of my trip: to improve my English. Besides, they took me to different towns, family events and even climbing (their son). The house is amazing and the room very wide. Carole did the laundry and cooked very nice dinners. I already miss them and I am sure I will be back.
