We are a professional couple with a young child and a dog. We have lived in Cambridge our whole lives. We both work fulltime. My partner and I are very polite and helpful. We have a sociable life and often host for family and friends. We'd like to open our door to a professional person, either studying or working full-time in the area.
We are welcoming guests into our lovely home. It is a new build three-bedroom property. We would like to host a single person in a room furnished with a brand new double bed and mattress. So far, the room is un-lived in. We offer the use of our Wi-Fi, bathroom/ shower and Kitchen. If you are using a bicycle during your stay you are welcome to store it in our shed which is always locked as is access to our garden. The surrounding areas offer amazing scenery of Cambridge river. One way takes you to the city centre in a 15 – 20-minute walk. And the other takes you away from the city to explore the green and open spaces that Cambridge has. We are a 15-minute walk to Cambridge north train station and a 2-minute walk to a bus stop (Citi 2) which takes you into the city centre in 10 minutes. My fiancée and I have lived in Cambridge all our life and know everything Cambridge has to offer, the best ways to find attractions and prices. We can often find good discounts through our connections and are happy to be asked by our guests.

About the Area
If you are looking for a room to rent in Cambridge, this is a perfect choice. Only 1 mile, a 15-minute walk from Cambridge North Station, Science Park and frequent transportation into central Cambridge such as guided bus (B) and Citi Bus 2. The surrounding areas offer amazing scenery of River Cam and some great nature walks. Central Cambridge Shopping can be walked to in 20-30minutes, or even quicker by bike or public transport. (Beehive Centre, Retail Park, Grafton Centre, Grande Arcade, Cinema & Leisure centre).

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
