We are a welcoming professional couple with 3 grown up children and our 2 friendly cats.
My husband is in the music business industry, performs with his band and also works from home. I am a clinical psychologist and finished my PhD in mental health, working from home retraining.
When we can, we love travelling to warm and sunny countries.
This is detached 7 bedrooms family home.
Beautiful and comfortable rooms (1 double, 1 twin & 2 singles) on a peaceful neighbourhood close to Addenbrookes Hospital, the Medical Research Center, the Biomedical Campus, ARM & Microsoft companies and the bests Language Schools for International Students.
Train station and Cambridge City Centre are just a stroll away.
We appreciate the removal of shoes when entering the house please, this is a non smoking house and continental breakfast is provided. I am sorry but cooking facilities are not provided neither permitted.

House Rules
Sorry, no pets, no smokers and no minors. Please behave quietly and respect the house and neighbourhood, we appreciate the removal of shoes when entering our home. Please note that no cooking facilities are permitted however for long stay bookings the facility of a microwave is available for dinners (please ask before using it -thanks-). £150 returnable deposit will be required per booking per room as well as £10.00 cleaning fee for single rooms & £15.00 for double & twins prior arrival and if applicable a month in advance of your arrival. Payment needs to be done via PayPal, Card, or Bank transfer (details to be given once official booking comes through). Please note that any late arrivals (after 9.30 pm) will incur of a charge of ££15 . All monies to be settle three weeks prior arrival please. Any alterations on dates needs to be notify with sufficient time to be able to accommodate your needs and if applicable fourteen days prior arrival (subject to vacancies) please note that no refunds will be given after this period of time (except the deposit). However, I am open to discuss any emergencies and re-structure accordingly. Many Thanks for your understanding and looking forward to welcome and hosting you.

Staying at Ruth's house was like being at my home. Her family is very friendly and all family members are kind and helpful for every need. My bedroom was really nice, comfortable and clean. I recommend it strongly!

Nous n'avons pas du tout reçu l'accueil que nous espérions de la part de Ruth: personne très exigeante qui nous a traité comme de jeunes adolescents alors que nous sommes des adultes responsables. Nous n'avions aucun document à jour sur la ville de Cambridge dans notre chambre et avons dû réclamer un plan de la ville. Cependant, les lits et la petite salle d'eau étaient propres.

Horrible experience. We are not recommending Francoise as a guest.
We opened the doors of our family home to welcome Francoise and her friends however this was not sufficient as she was expecting a hotel. No consideration at all with other guests neither to our family needs. No respecting the breakfast timetable neither the checking out time. Also, verY unfriendly, rude and impolite conversations in french towards our family (they did not think we could understand French...).

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
