About the Homestay
Family home in a quite neighborhood in Northwest London suburb. Sharing the lounge, kitchen and bathroom with myself and possibly my daughters or other guests visiting.
There are two bedrooms available. Bedroom One has a double bed which is my daughters' room when she comes home from University. There is a desk and space in the wardrobe for your clothes. The room faces the lush green garden at the back of the house.
Room Two is a bright, double aspect, room with a twin (single) bed with a second bed underneath which can convert to create a double bed, or be suitable for two unrelated people sharing the room. In the room there is also a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a desk and a sink.
The bathroom is shared with all the family and guests. Wifi is available and a there is a TV in lounge, Tea and Coffee available. A fan is available on a hot summer night (we should be so lucky).
It's about a 20 minute walk to the station and 35 minutes by train into Central London. There are a number of buses about a 10 minute walk away. There is parking available for one car on the drive. If you do have a car, the house is in a really good location for exploring away from London, close to motorways to Oxford, Cambridge and the North. Restaurants and Cafes 10-15 minute walk.
I have a small dog. NO Smoking in my home. Continental Breakfast is included (cereals, toast). Evening meals can be provided if you want but they would cost extra: I keep a kosher home, so can accommodate people who keep kosher or are vegetarian.
There are shops and restaurants all nearby - 10 minute walk to the main road or a little further into Central Edgware.
If you are looking for a nice, comfortable family home, to see how the locals in London live - accessible to Central London and the countryside - this is the place for you. If you are kosher or vegetarian - you will be easily accommodated.

I keep a kosher home (Jewish dietary laws) so you cannot bring in food from outside (particularly meat or shellfish). I have a dog who would love the chance to escape and play in the road - so please be careful when coming in and out. Please keep your bedroom door closed so the dog does not go insice your room. You will be given a key, and instructions on the locks. Extra guests are £15 each. There is an additional charge to use the washer and dryer for long stays and a weekly cleaning fee. No smoking in the house is allowed. Please keep our home secure by closing your windows and double locking the front door when you leave. Please clean up if you use the kitchen. Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over, please ask me in advance. Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would your own home!
Smoking is not allowed.
Friendly host and great accommodation. Highly recommended
Eileen was communicative and hospitable. Her home is a bit off the beaten track but she makes this clear in her directions. If you like period (1930s) homes suitably and sensitively modernised while retaining as many original features as possible, you'll like this one. It's incredibly private and peaceful, most of the time you hear just birdsong and the very occasional passing car leading you to believe you are in the depths of the countryside. The real "piece de resistance" or should that be "pet de resistance" is the charismatic, attentive and most affectionate (King) Arthur, a small but larger than life black poodle who will make a fuss of you whether you are leaving or arriving.
Well, it was alright.I was away most of the time during the day.I slept well.
