Hello! My name is Sonia (languages teacher) I live with my husband Andy (IT developer) and my son Thomas (11 years-old), we also have a friendly little dog, called Tintin. We live in the international town of Harrogate, close to nature, a fabulous pub, excellent transport links and all the amenities.
Our house is spacious, clean and airy. Has 4 double bedrooms a study/office, kitchen/breakfast and separate bathroom for our guest.
We enjoy meeting new people and helping our guests to discover the best of England.

About the Area
Our house is located on the north side of the city, in a quiet and safe suburb, close to open countryside. Our property is well served by local shops and services, is situated close to the beautiful Nidd Gorge, 20 minutes’ drive to Bradford-Leeds Airport and a 1.5 miles to the town centre. The bus stop is only 2 minutes’ walk from the house and there are lots of bus options using this stop.

What to expect from your host family accommodation: Bed linen and towels will be changed every week. Respectful, friendly environment.
What we expect from our guest: Do not smoke in the house or garden, do not have visitors without permission, use of bad languages is strictly prohibited, if you going to arrive home after 11:00, please let us know.

I was made to feel very welcome, just like being at home. Sonia and Andy were great hosts, I enjoyed our conversations and the food was lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone a home stay with Sonia and Andy.

Immediately made to feel welcome and invited to join Sonia and her family during the evening. Lovely clean home. I had everything I could need to ensure my stay was comfortable. Will definitely be staying again. Would recommend 100%. Well placed as a base to enjoy the Harrogate area.

There are no words strong enough to describe how much I loved staying with this family. Sonia and Andy are some of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet, young Thomas is a respectful and energetic little guy, and puppy Tintin is such a sweet dog. The room was comfy and the house was in a quiet part of town with great access to all attractions. Love this place and this family!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
