Long and short term ,single occupancy.
1 bedroom, single occupancy with double bed available. Towels and bedding included. Bedroom has a desk.
OWN fridge, cupboard space and kitchen area. Use of kitchen, washing machine, WI-FI.
The house backs onto a beautiful park and is opposite the seafront, 5 minutes walk away.
Parking is available.
There is a main bus route at the end of the road. The buses run regularly and it is less than a 10 minute journey to the town centre. We are walking distance from a main Tescos and other shops.
We have a large garden which is beautiful in the summer and you will have full use of.
This is a fairly peaceful household. In the week we are generally early to bed and early risers. This is the perfect setting for studying. We have had lots of adult students happy staying with us.
The house has a WC and shower - shared. This is only shared with myself and occasionally my son. WI-FI , use of washing machine. You will have your own fridge, kitchen cupboards and all your own utilities but the kitchen is shared.
We have hosted many language students who are studying. They have felt that this is the perfect environment for them.
I have been local to Eastbourne for many years and so am fairly knowledgeable to the area and can probably point you in the direction of most things.

Lisa is a friendly, kind, hospitable soul. She has a beautiful home, the bedroom was very comfortable and the desk was perfect for working. You have your own little fridge & cupboard space downstairs here which was very helpful. There is a large park close by and it's just 10 minutes walk to the ocean. Loved that. Also, there's a Big Tesco just around the corner and it's just a 10 minute bus ride to the center of Eastbourne. So it's all around a very convenient location. I would highly recommend staying with Lisa.

My stay at Lisa's was very lovely and cozy. Lisa is very sweet and welcoming. It was so nice to be able to get to the beach in 5-10 minutes walking. I felt very peaceful at Lisa's and taken care of. She provides a fringe and pantry space for you which I really appreciated. Her son was there off and on which was no problem at all - he was very polite and kind.

I stayed at Lisa's house and it was a sensational experience.
Lisa and her son Lewis made me feel right at home. On my birthday she prepared a surprise breakfast that I will never forget. Funny smiling and always ready to help those who come from outside, Lisa is an excellent hostess. And if you are learning English, the experience will be great.

Lisa was the perfect hostmother! I felt very comfortable. She gave me my freedom and was always helpful. The room, especially the bed, was great. She has a nice big garden to relax. I was allowed to use the kitchen and the washing machine at any time. She also helped me with a personal problem, for which I am very grateful. I can definitely recommend Lisa as a hostfamily. :))

Lisa was a fantastic hostess for me. I stayed with her for a fortnight during an internship in Eastbourne. Lisa is amazingly welcoming and was always open for a chat. She did everything to make me feel comfortable during my stay. She even picked me up from the train station and got me a desk for the room so I could study there. Her family, who I got to know, are also very warm and helpful people. I could enjoy the sun in the garden and the nearby park and sea are perfect for a walk or to do sports. Lisa's house is nicely furnished and very clean. I would book there again anytime.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
