Bright Sunny Double room in the heart of Historical St Albans. With en- suite shared shower facilities. We are a very welcoming friendly family, and can offer a comfortable stay. We have two dogs both very friendly and welcoming. We are husband and wife and one grown up daughter living in the house. The home is clean and there is always a tasty breakfast offered to our guests. We are located close to all the amenities and a short bus ride to the main St Albans bustling town centre, with its twice weekly market. St Albans City train station is a 10 minute drive away with trains direct into Kings cross within 20 minutes, taking you into the heart of London. We have many historical Roman sites to visit on our doorstep. And some very stunning local woods and places to walk. We are a 30 minute drive from Luton airport and a 20 minute drive from Harry Potter world.

About the Area
Our home is located on the north side of the city situated close to all local transports links. There is a bus stop 200 yards from our house with a regular bus service to the town centre. There are lots of trendy pubs, bars and restaurants in the town centre which is a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. We are close to Harry Potter world, the Roman Amphitheatre, St Albans Cathedral, and Museum. There are many picturesque walks on our doorstep and we are a 30 minute drive from Luton Airport so and ideal stop off for business travellers.

House Rules
Our house rules are in place to ensure that we all get along nicely under one roof. We expect our guests to be courteous and considerate when staying in our home. We also ask that when coming back in the evening that they consider the neighbours and keep the noise down to a minimum. We will not allow guests to remain at the property if it is believed that they are under the influence of illegal substances, they will be required to leave regardless of the time. Takeaway meals or cooked food can be heated up in our microwave in our kitchen, but must be consumed in the kitchen and not in the bedroom. We would ask that you give us 3 hours notice to use the dining area. Dry snacks and fruit can be eaten in the room. When using the shared bathroom early in the morning or late in the evening we would ask that the guests keep the noise to a minimum as the bathroom is shared with a family member in the room next door.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
