Life is wonderful! I've been hosting International students and travelers for over 14 years and love it! I love living comfortably and sharing my home. So, together we'll share a very peaceful environment full of lots of opportunities for communication and fun times.
I'm an actress and singer who's traveled to Japan, China and Brazil, and look forward to traveling to many other countries in the near future.
The first year I tried counting the countries that had visited me here, but I've since given up on that and have decide to just enjoy the cultural diversity we all experience here as one family.
I love laughter and enjoy theater, dance, exploring new restaurants, learning about the lives, families, cultures of my new students and guests... I'm easy to talk to and love sharing in family activities inside and outside the home.
Each bedroom in my home is private.. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared. We have no house keeper, so everyone is responsible for making sure the areas they use are left nice for the rest of us to enjoy as well
Our home is one block from the green line train, 20 - 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and 30 - 40 minutes from both airports.
Pete's Fresh Market is our grocery store, which has delicious cooked foods as well.
For monthly stays laundry use is accessible at home twice a month and there is a laundromat just 10 minutes away.
Our neighborhood is also divers and full of ethnic restaurants and activities, there's even a movie theater.
We invite you to come and be part of our International family and hope to hear from you soon...

About the Area
Oak Park is the first suburb just west of Chicago. Our home is actually on the dividing street and very easy to find. We are 1 block from the green line train and a 15 minute ride to down town Chicago. The local bus going north and south stops right in front of our house as well. Our neighborhood is diverse and very welcoming. It's very quiet and you'll always pass a neighbor with their beautiful children or walking their dogs. The houses are very spacious and colorful and streets are lined with trees. Down town Oak Park is just a walk or 2 stops away on the train. Downtown is full of ethnic restaurants, shopping and a movie theater. Frank Lloyd Wright a famous architect designed a few of the houses in the neighborhood and tours are made available. Oak Park is a very clean and safe place to live. We have no doubt you'll feel relaxed and at home here. Expressways to every direction is very close by, for those who drive on the expressways. Oak Park is full of parks and the Library and Post office are close by as well. Come and enjoy the beauty of life in Oak Park.

Only socks or house slippers are worn in the house. All outside shoes are left neatly under a space in the foyer at the front door. No shoes are worn on the inside stairs. Some of us wear no coverings on our feet at all and appreciate being able to do so.
The stairs are loud, so please walk softly on them 10pm - 10am.
You're welcome to use all common areas in the house you, but please clean up after every use. There are sponges and little notes to remind you. Everyone here is considered family and we all do our part to keep our home mess free and clean.
We wash large loads of clothes once a week. Schedule a day with your host in advance. It's also important to stay with your clothes during the wash cycles, but not while drying. Clothes should be removed right away. It generally takes 1 1//2 hours. Others are usually waiting their turn.
Please do not invite people into our home without dance approval from your host.
Please see us for updates and changes to your homestay and enjoy your time with us!
Your host loves communicating with her guests and plans family outings from time to time.

its nice to stay as Host with Cote Lind, accommodation is nice and well within approach of train station. When I reached there was to attend and we wait at the door for more than hour. There was no remark on room no as when we booked the room it was room no 3 and the photo shown on sight was different but when i was actually allotted the room it was of low standard and it was not having TV,No dressing mirror,no fan , no lock on main door , however nothing went wrong but your private room must have key. There should be room locker to place your important documents safe.
I hope she required to mechanize the above pointsJagdish Lal
