We are an artistic/musical family living in Carlsbad, CA. We are both marketing professionals that enjoy fitness, playing musical instruments, and entertaining friends in our home. We have an 11 year old son who enjoys computer games, and reading. Also living with us are our 3 fuzzy kitties: Monty, Lucy, and Goldie. They are very friendly, and love people! So, don't be surprised if they are very curious about you. :) (especially the first time!)
Our guests who choose to do a homestay in the available downstairs bedroom will have a dedicated bathroom + washer/dryer + WiFi + private entry to our home.

About the Area
Our house is located in a very safe neighborhood in the hills, next to the beach. We are also less than 2km from Carlsbad village, and about 4km from Carlsbad Premium Outlets (shopping center/mall). There's also a train station next to Carlsbad village which can take you right into the heart of San Diego. (Downtown and Old Town etc etc)
We are near National University, Mira Costa college, Palomar College, and California College. We strongly advise any guests that are interested in our home to already have a car, or be in the process of getting one, since one must drive in order to get to the train stations, schools, and other areas of San Diego.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
