THE HOUSE WAS RESPITE FOR MEMBERS OF THE EAGLES, they could get away and so can you. Spectacular views, located in the historic city of The Dalles; the end of the Lewis and Clark trail - a treasure.

She has gone out of her way to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, including cooking some wonderful dinners for my fiancé and me. When a change in my work schedule meant that I had to be in The Dalles for an extra two weeks, I did not heatitate at all to book the extra time with Billie. Top floor with large "Great" room has breathtaking views and large master bedroom ensuite/queen bed with deck off the master bedroom. Rustic elegance: Private, Quiet, Peaceful, Welcoming and still close to everything in The Gorge: Oregon and Washington sides of the Columbia River.

About the Area
Our house is located in a secluded area of town. Top of a hill and very private - parking is on premises which provides more safety. It is one mile from Sorosis Park which has panoramic views of orchards, vineyards and the Columbia River and the Washington side of the Columbia River Mountains. The town is very historic and the drive from eh Portland Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes which is a very scenic drive - you'll want to stop and take in the views.
The town is the end of the Lewis and Clark trails and has museums, wineries, eclectic communities, great restaurants, antique shopping and the home to the oldest bookstore in Oregon; as well as the Neon Sign Museum. The area is filled with educational opportunities and many waterfalls: spectacular beauty. The views from the house also include this beauty in a comfortable setting.

House Rules
Guests are asked to clean up after themselves in the common rooms. Their space will be private and untouched until they depart. If the stay is multi-week they have the options of changing sheets and towels which will be washed and returned to them. We value our guests privacy.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
