Friendly animal lover. One cat. The house is conveniently situated across the road from the train/bus station in Caerphilly. 15/20mins on the train to Cardiff and links to the Valleys. The town hosts the 2nd largest castle in the UK and its in the middle of the town centre. We have various shops, good restaurants, cafes,pubs and parks all within walking distance.There are many lovely walks nearby, including the Taff Trail cycling route,whether you want to take a stroll to the park or visit the castle with its moat or be more adventurous and take to Caerphilly mountain, lovely 360 degree veiws.You could go further afield and go over the mountain to Cardiff just a 9 mile walk and theres a fairytail castle Castell Coch meaning the Red Castle and Cardiff has its own castle also. Caerphilly has a leisure centre with gym, swimming pool and health suite and a great new library. Caerphilly is a good base to visit the surrounding areas with so much history and beauty.

About the Area
My house is located in the town centre conveniently close to the train/bus station and within a short walk to the many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and the castle. Caerphilly castle built in the late 13 century, is situated in the town centre and is one of the great medieval castle of western Europe and the 2nd largest in Britain
after Windsor castle. The town is just 9 miles outside Cardiff, the capital of Wales,
and 15 mins on the train. Caerphilly is a lovely friendly town and the house so conveniently based to explore further afield the history and natural beauty of
South Wales. Parking is not a problem as there is a large car park just over the road next to train station and street parking at the house.

House Rules
To lock the front door at all times, keep noise to a minimum and dont let anyone into the house without prior permission. Be nice to our pets. I will provide a light breakfast and you are free to use the kitchen for making drinks. There is a pub 1 minute away that does cooked breakfasts, lunches and food throughout the day up until around 10pm. But if your stay is a long one(monthly) we can arrange use of the kitchen and washing machine and you would be responsible to clean your room and wash your bedding. If you smoke you can only do so outside. Theres a covered bus -shelter across the road with seats.

We arrived and was met by Cheryl, she is very friendly and welcoming. We were shown around and left to our own devices. The room was lovely really nice size and was a welcome break after the 4 hour drive and a rest before the concert. Fantastic location 2 min walk to Caerphilly castle. We will be back and would definitely stay with Cheryl again. We throughly recommend Cheryl.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
