Kana San’s place is in the heart of Tokyo, abt 6 stops away/15 mins from Shinjuku.. So you get to be in the heartbeat, but solid rest in her quiet neighborhood. My week there has been filled with nothing but love from her, the rooms are cozy and her place have got everything you need- from bathing amenities to laundry and kitchen! The best part of my homestay was getting to interact with Riko! Kana San and I connected deeply, and it’s a friendship for keeps. Thank you for being so thoughtful, and for the lovely izakaya dinner too. Love everything about her, her beautiful home, and can’t recommend enough!

I had a great stay at Kana's house. She was very friendly and always willing to help. I speak some Japanese so we communicated mostly in Japanese but I feel like it would be no problem to do so in English. During my stay we were both feeling a bit under the weather, and because of that we unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to go outside together (I learned that usually she will take her guests to some nice places, according to their interests). Even so, I enjoyed our conversations at home while watching TV together. I'm vegan and she was very accomodating to my dietary needs, helping me out in several ways and even getting some vegan snacks for me. I hope to go back the next time I'm in Tokyo :) かなさん、ありがとうございます！

Bonjour …première expérience d’un mois chez un particulier pour moi et je dois dire que cela a était top…
- super emplacement …à 5mn d’une ligne de métro principale (E33) et d’une ligne de bus qui est parfois plus intéressante à prendre … en gros c’est un environnement provincial tout près près de la vie bouillonnante des hyper centre villes …vous avez à proximité des petits restaurants traditionnels très agréables à moindre coup que je vous recommande …
- ma chambre était fonctionnel …un peu sombre peut être mais c’est une chambre est c’est fait en général pour dormir et je pense que nous avons mieux à faire sur Tokyo que de squatter la chambre…lol
-au besoin , vous avez accès a la cuisine pour vos bricoles en respectant bien sûr l’environnement car n’oublions pas le respect des uns et des autres …
-le gros point fort de cette chambre est la bonté de sa logeuse …kana-san…elle est au petit soin avec vous et n’ai pas la dernière pour vous accompagner et vous renseigner …vraiment très accessible et il ne faut hésiter à dialoguer …malgré le fait que je parle pour ainsi dire que le français, le dialogue c’est très bien installé et se fut un réel plaisir de partager leur quotidien pendant ce mois passé en leur compagnie …

Kana-san is the best person I could hope for my first week in Japan. She's really nice and always go out of her way to help her guest (as an example I got multiple small health problem such as runny nose, headache, sore muscles, itchy skin... and every time she was there to give me an adequate medicine) I enjoyed sharing my meals with her every night as she cooks really well and she is an interesting person to talk to.
She's always ready to give advice about where to go and what to visit. Her husband, Isao-san is also a very nice person, even though he works a lot and I hadn't the opportunity to talk too much with him.
The home is nice and clean, located in a nice neighbourhood, right next to an elementary school, so it was always heartwarming to hear and see the kids everyday. I enjoyed taking a hot bath every night in the pure Japanese fashion.
The room itself has everything we can need, I was especially happy to find a power adapter as I brought an uncompatible one to Japan. The only bad thing I can think about is that the bad was maybe a bit too hard for me and slightly hurt my back in the beginning, but I got used to it after a few days.
Kana-san also put a lot of cute post-it notes everywhere in the house to remind us of the rules, so we always know how to act appropriately.
My only regret is that my Japanese isn't good enough and I couldn't tell Kana-san everything I wanted to tell her about.

Anyway, I'd definitely enjoy coming back to Kana-san homestay as soon as possible !

I stayed at Kana-San and Isao-San's homestay for 4 weeks and it has been an amazing experience. The place is greatly located and well connected, being 20 min from Shinjuku station, in a cute neighbourhood that is walking distance from Higashi Nagazaki, Nakano and Higashi Nakano. The room itself is big and clean and the house is clean, nice and welcoming.
Since I came for a language course and hoped for full immersion, I was very happy to be able to hang out and chat with Kana-San, who is a wonderful host, and cute doggy Riko-Chan. She showed me amazing places (ask for the Tantanmen spot and Afghan restaurant ;), allowed me to join her shodo class with Japanese students and we even went to DisneySea together, where she was a super knowledgeable guide. I think I found a great friend in Tokyo and would go back for sure if I had the occasion. どうもありがとうございました。

Kana-san and Isao-san provided a wonderful place to stay in! They keep their home very clean and they are very welcoming. Their home is a very short walk from the train station, from a few bars and from a few restaurants including a very good ramen shop! I stayed during New Years week and Kana-san prepared a delicious, tradition homemade New Years meal which was a great way to experience true Japanese culture. The two weeks I stayed at this HomeStay were terrific, and i plan on returning if the opportunity is available!

I was for 4.5 months. She was really helpful and gave me so many tips. You can ask her everything. Her house is only 20 minutes from Shinjuku station with the subway, so it's really near from the center.
If both rooms are available, you can choose which one you like. One of them is a little bit bigger(the one with the bunk bed) But both are rooms are good.
And her dog is so cute.
I had a great time in her house and I earned a real friend. I'm really thankful for everything she did for me.
I hope we see us again soon.
