Hello! Nanga def?! We are warm and open Serer, Diola, and Black American family living in the beautiful, tranquil seaside village of Popenguine. We are a multi-cultural and multi-lingual family tied into political and educational work in Senegal. Between us we speak 4 languages- English, French, Wolof, and Diola. We would love the opportunity to host those who are interested in studying, volunteering, teaching, and/or learning more about our amazing country, its rich culture, history, and plethora of languages. We can offer Wolof lessons, a comfortable stay in our air conditioned, sea view villa with a vegetable garden, and transportation around the country- from Dakar to Sine Saloum to Casamance.

Our sea view house is located in a fishing village an hour drive from Dakar. We are happy to drive you into the city. We are just a 10 min walk from the beach and a short distance from lovely French and Senegalese restaurants. Popenguine is a Christian town, which offers nuance to the rich religious history of the region.
