Very nice family, and generous host. Flexible
I’d had a terrible experience during my three months staying there. When I
went to the appointed address on my first day in the U.S., there was an old lady whom I had never seen on Homestay.com when I booked. She is Csilla's mother and I knew that I would live with the old lady, not with Csilla. The old lady usually talked to me with high-pressure, and often changed her house rules suddenly and blamed me because I didn’t know her new rules.
There were sometimes dog's poops and pees on the carpet, and I had stepped on dog's pee four times. I could have only one pastry for breakfast, but it was usually past its expiration date, for example, the crescent roll had been expired already two weeks ago. My laundry was always returned with dog’s hair, and one day she said “That is not important!" by pointing my laundry basket. When the frozen pasta that I kept in the freezer was disappeared, I asked her about that and she said “I don’t know. You shouldn’t ask the other guest only for three dollars”. I understood nobody cares about my stuff, so I always locked my baggage whenever I went out my room just when I went to a bathroom because guests couldn't lock their room from outside. We should be careful about food smells. When I ate
Beef/Chicken bowl or Sushi, she said “Smells bad! I don’t like the smell!
The other guests also don’t like it! Nobody likes your food smell! You shouldn’t eat dinner here, you should go to a restaurant!”. After that, I
started having dinner outside such as in front of the supermarket. It was a
bit cold because it's already December. I talked to Csilla if I could move out there earlier and she admitted that I would do that and get a refund for four days. However, Csilla’s mother said "You changed your mind because you want money? No, I don’t pay even one penny for you!”. I had already been exhausted, so I emailed Csilla that I didn't need any refund and said thank you on my last day there. It has already been over six weeks since I moved out there, but I haven’t gotten any reply from her.
Csilla is a great host! I stayed with her for two weeks. Living there definitely helped me settle in to the city. I was shown around and got valuable tips. Her dogs are also very loveable. I would recommend her place anytime!
They are really helpful and kind. They make feel you like you’re at home.
I had a great 2 week stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay!. Very welcoming and made great friends as a bonus! Love the Huskies! Extra bonus!
I really enjoyed it
The house is comfortable and there is no need to worry, its owner is very nice with me advise you to try it.
If opportunities allow me, of course, I will repeat their housing.
We ( my son and I ) enjoyed the short stay, warm greetings, attention and support at all fronts. And of course, next time in Irvine, I will be at this home.
Csilla is really kind. I had a great experience. Two dogs are so smart and lovely! Thank you,Csilla.
It's like a home very clean and comfy. That's the way it happened to me. SCILLIA and mom Ildi are fantastic and very respectfully people I definitely enjoyed my stay with them like a home..Thank you Scilla say Hi to mother..
Staying here was like having a second home, the host was accommodating and polite through out my stay. The house was clean, organized, and bed was refreshing. Csilla, as well as her mother, were able to make multiple recommendations on local attractions (all of which were outstanding) and were extremely kind hearted and well spoken individuals. Not only this but if you are a dog fan they have 2 very lovable huskies and a chow chow with a personality out of this world. All in all, I loved my stay and plan to continue staying with them anytime I need to come to California.
(If you're one for conversation, Csilla's mother is a kick and has a personality of gold)
