This is my new home away from home! I've travelled to four different continents, 16 countries and visited Johannesburg 4 times this year. I've never had such an unforgettable and homely Homestay/ AirBnb experience. Merecia and her husband made me feel extremely welcome in their home for the entire 7 nights I was there. The house was large with several different resting places and the bedroom was cosy, despite the chilly weather. Their polite daughter was always willing to find me an electronic gadget if I needed one. More than anything else, they always checked to see if I had everything I needed and quickly made sure that I got it to feel comfortable. I had a large, clean bathroom all to myself and a delicious meal for dinner every day. The house is a little far from the Gautrain station, but the hosts arranged to pick me up each day that I needed it. They assisted me with laundry and ironing with a smile! Remember to carry a wifi hotspot if you need one, but otherwise, this is the best deal you can get in Johannesburg if you'd like a true family experience with wonderful people. I look forward to seeing them again!
