Since we are rating with hearts, I have to give a one. There was no love. We saw Pedro for 5 minutes when he checked us in and collected the money. He doesn't live there it is his uncle who lives in Hong Kong home. We did not have any personable relationship with Pedro or his sister. This was terrible when compared to the emails we exchanged and the other homestays where we felt like family in Cuba. This is not a homestay- this is a vacant extra home. Oh I forgot, Pedro showed back up at check-out to collect the last $4 we owed him because we didn't have change during check in. If you want culture and getting to know a family- this is NOT it! Very sad waste of 3 nights alone in cuba......

Very nice guy- small town just outside of varedero. We had a bit of trouble finding - remember you don't have internet- so click on the map and take a screen shot of it to show the taxi driver will make life easier :)

Perfection. Don't read other reviews just book. You will feel like family. Is immaculately clean. Best meal we had all week. Pedrin is the funniest guy. 3 nights was not enough! Vinales is great- went rock climbing, coffee and Tabaco plantation. Everything was perfection. My kids got to practice their Spanish while drinking homemade pina coladas. I cant say enough- highlight of our week. This family will have a special place in our hearts.
