Savino is the consummate host. He has basically made it his mission to provide extraordinary hospitality to anyone and everyone! He has traveled the world and hosted people from all over the world, and takes great pride in what he does. He will give you wonderful recommendations for off-the-beaten-path local favorites as well as high quality places among the tourist traps. His place is very comfortable and you'll feel right at home. Savino took us out for an aperitivo and we spent the evening eating, drinking, and laughing with all of his friends. We spent 5 nights here and were very comfortable the whole time- would highly recommend this as a home base while exploring Florence/Tuscany. We had such a busy itinerary and wish we could have spent more time with Savino, but he truly made us feel like we got an authentic Italian and Florentine experience. We can't thank him enough for our great experience and would gladly return the favor in the US someday! I highly recommend that you stay with Savino if you have the opportunity - it was the best decision of our trip.
