1. I didn't get the room I was expecting, with a private bathroom. The room had a sink and shower, but the toilet was up a few stairs up the hall. 2. I never got the breakfast. 3. Only the son came and went, a busy student. His mother was never there. 4. Not exactly "homey", more like a college dorm. 5. The house was cold and I had to sleep in my clothes. I also caught a cold. 6. It's in a suburb of Paris, with the train station being a 10 min walk away. Transportation into Paris is not that easy nor fun, with all the workers. Better to be in Paris. Also, there was a train strike as well. 7. Arthur did help me by printing out my boarding pass to go home and reserved an Uber to pick me up and take me to the airport.

Catherine was the perfect hostess. Her home was immaculate, and she was extremely helpful in every way. The metro or bus connect you with Paris and every major tourist attraction. If you are fortunate, you might be able to arrange in advance for Catherine to prepare French delicacies for you. She buys everything fresh from the market and prepares it especially for you. (Of course, there will be an extra charge for this.) The bedroom is luminous and Catherine keeps everything clean and fresh daily. You will definitely enjoy your stay in Paris with a safe and lovely room to return to each day. Bon voyage!

Gabriela is a very gracious and kind lady, ready to receive me with a specially prepared room with flowers and vegetarian food. Unfortunately, a bad shuttle connection made me miss the flight and forfeit the entire experience. I felt bad for Gabriela, but I highly recommend her as a hostess who will try to make your stay extremely pleasant.

My first extended visit to Paris was like a dream come true. Mme Christiane was extremely cordial and always cheerful and helpful. Her home in Montparnasse is historical and perfectly located for walking almost everywhere or taking the metro. Also, her home is extremely clean, plus guests have full use of the kitchen. The room I had was ideal with a private bathroom. I would recommend this homestay as it was a very pleasant experience. (The Paris mystique is no exaggeration! The weather was perfect and all the popular museums and cathedrals are spectacular. Also, the cuisine is to die for, but it's not inexpensive.)
