Such a lovely family! I've been staying at their place for six weeks and I had such a great time! It felt almost like a second home to me.
During my stay I had my own room and bathroom and I could use their washing machine as well. They picked me up from the airport and I had free internet! Meals were all provided and whenever I had special wishes concerning the food I could make a certain request.
Furthermore, they have lovely kids :-) But be prepared that they have a German shepherd as well, so you'd better not be afraid of dogs.
Furthermore, it's true that living there is expensive and I could never afford to stay at their place for a whole semester, but for the first few weeks it was definitely worth the money!
Personally, I can only recommend staying with Christine and her family, especially to exchange students who are going to study at Griffith Uni Mt Gravatt or Nathan Campus because it does not take long to get there.March 2013
Ich habe die letzten 6 Wochen bei dieser Familie verbracht und es waren 6 Wochen, die ich nie vergessen werde. Diese Familie ist toll. Ich wurde toll aufgenommen und es wurde nie langweilig. Ich bin grade mal 2 Tage wieder zu Hause und vermisse sie jetzt schon alle so sehr.

I spent 2 fabulous months in Australia with christine and George! Just one thing ... I will miss them and I want to come back next year !!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
