Relax whilst you watch the myriad of birds which visit the deck, for night viewing there is video cameras with infrared lights, this footage of the wildlife antics streams live onto the guests TV in their lounge.
The retreat provides educational material about Tasmania's flora and fauna, or just enjoy viewing the wildlife from your private balcony with the best views of the South Esk River, the longest river in Tasmania, which eventually ends up in the Cataract Gorge.
This is a non smoking retreat although you can smoke in the garden.

Guests can book for one - four people, rates differ depending on number of guests. The apartment only takes one booking at a time therefore you get the space to yourself, whether its for one person or four people. No smoking property but you can smoke in the garden.

    Jane is absolutely helpful for giving advices concerning the surroundings. The room is enough big for 2 or 3 people, and the view is amazing !
    You can see all sorts of animals (opossum, kangaroo, parrots.....).
    A wild experience.

    It was a pleasure meeting you Loig, I enjoyed out chats about places to visit in Tasmania and I'm please you enjoyed the wildlife, mother possum is bringing her baby now onto the balcony so she is busy being protective and bossy. The white sulphur crested cockatoos are still very cheeky. I hope we meet again one day. Travel safe

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
