Fabulous Surfers Paradise Happy House on the river with private beach and jetty for fishing or crabbing. Private double rooms for one single person or for two people sharing in a double bed. Also one cute single room with single bed. Street parking. Tropical gardens, large saltwater swimming pool, buses nearby or a short 25 minute walk to the light rail and central Surfers Paradise. We are well travelled and now happy to welcome travellers to enjoy our beautiful atmosphere on the Nerang River. All nationalities very welcome in this happy home away from home. This is a magic place where magic happens.
Opportunity knocks! We are currently fortunate to have our amazing friend here, Hollywood Celebrity Chef to the stars, Kate McAloon, who will cook you amazing meals for a small price. Kate's cookbook "The Flavour of Joy" is internationally renown. Her list of celebrity Hollywood Clients is amazing, so we hope you will enjoy this rare opportunity to order some of her mouth-watering meals. Or use our communal kitchenette to prepare your own delicious meals.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Free street parking. Access to pool and river between 9am - 6pm or by arrangement.
Our Hollywood celebrity chef Kate McAloon will provide an evening meal if required for an additional price. Ask on arrival.
Payment Method: Please note that we require our guests to pay 50% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room - Bank details will be informed after confirming the booking online. The balance is payable by cash when you move in.
Cancellation Policy: We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.”
Lost keys incur a fee of $100.

I loved the time I spent at Happy House! Lynette and Grahan are a super affectionate, attentive and friendly couple. The daily is light, the house is really cozy and I felt at home!

Beautiful people. Great spot. After you prepare your meal in the kitchen eat breakfast lunch or dinner outside by the water. Message shower, free internet and tv. Maybe a little too expensive for a single but next time I'll barter with Lynette and offer a couple of nights of live performances and invite all other guests - party night LOL. Love you Lynette and Kate. Thank you for letting be myself.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
