I am a mature aged single mum with 2 daughters still at home.

You will find safe accommodation at our Homestay where we have hosted over 95 guests in the past 10 years.

We started in 2010 and immediately became the preferred place for travellers visiting Perth. We have, so far, hosted over 90 guests who have enjoyed a safe place to study, relax and recharge. We are located on a quiet tree lined street amongst quality owner occupied homes within a safe, family friendly community. All the services and conveniences of Joondalup city are right on our doorstep and our excellent public transport links will have you in the city within 10 minutes.

About the Area

Thirty minutes north of Perth lies the thriving city of Joondalup and neighbouring Wanneroo. Joondalup Homestay is located at their intersection with white sandy beaches, the Indian Ocean and the commercial city centre to the west and coastal plains, wetlands, market gardens, natural bushland and wineries to the east.

The business hub of Joondalup includes the largest shopping centre in Western Australia. Joondalup Hospital, courthouse, universities, the Police Academy of Western Australia, colleges, private schools, sporting arenas, bus and train terminals, great restaurants, pubs, clubs and cafes are less than 5kms or 3 miles away. All the services and conveniences of the city are right on our doorstep.

You may just want to relax at home and that's ok. We are located on a quiet tree lined street in a nice suburb amongst quality owner occupied homes within a safe, family friendly community.

Nearby Attractions:

There is a fresh fruit and vegetable market around the corner for meat, fish and vegetables and McDonalds on the corner near the bus stop.
There is a beautiful pine forest for awesome photographs and walks 2 minute walk away.
Bush walking and are bike hire to cycle around Lake Joondalup is just a 5 minute walk away.
We have a local supermarket up the road.
It is a 4 minute walk to explore Wanneroo Botanic Gardens and play Mini Golf.
Delicious Leapfrogs Pizza Restaurant with a live band is also a 4 minute walk away.

Places to Visit by Public Transport:

7 mins to the City of Joondalup Shopping Centre called Lakeside - the largest shopping centre in Western Australia.
7 minute bus ride to hospital and cinemas.
12 min drive to Burns Beach.
10 minute bus to Neil Hawkins Park to feed the ducks, parrots and kangaroos.
University, College and Police Academy of Western Australia 8 minute bus ride.
7 minute bus ride to Asian Food store for familiar foods.

Day Trips:

The Maze - Perth's newest water theme park 1/2 hour drive east.
Moore River and Guilderton an hour drive north.
Train link south to Perth. Takes 25 minutes into the city.
Yanchep National Park 1 hour north to feed koalas and kangaroos and visit caves.
Bus tours operate from various pick up points for numerous sight seeing and longer tours up north to Monkey Mia, Exmouth, Kalbarri and Geraldton.

    Highly recommend. Sandi and her family made me feel at home and the home cooked meals were delicious. Nice private room and friendly conversation at the dinner table. Suitable for both a long or short term stay.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
