A real home from home for a very reasonable cost - JACKPOT

Tell us about your homestay experience.

I work away from home, all over the country and finding decent accommodation that ticks every box is a real gamble. I initially chose it for the very competitive price and location.  The host was excellent throughout the booking as i had to change arrival dates and also, my journey there took 5 hours longer than anticipated .  She was brilliant every step of the way.  When I arrived I was astonished at how great it was.  Extremely clean, it had everything i needed and much more.  Full use of a great kitchen, a lovely shower and my room was beautiful.  A real home from home for a very reasonable cost.  JACKPOT ACHIEVED :))))))

What did you do in Ansdell Lytham st Annes?

I was working a lot but I still found time to visit the local beach and lake which were only 5 minutes away.  The town and shops had everything I needed and more .  From a local Tesco’s express to some very exquisite clothes and shoe shops as well as the famous little cheese shop.  The nearby Lowther gardens had a huge halloween event on for the whole family too.  I will definitely be coming back for a much needed holiday x

Any tips or advice for other travellers?

The beach and lake is stunning.  As it’s only 20 minutes from Blackpool  (take the beach road - sat nav st anne’s golf club and when driving you will see the pleasure beach and tower in front of you.  As a first time traveller to the area I was very excited and heard myself say “yep, that’s picture postcard blackpool “ right there.

How was your experience with your host?

My day to day life is working hard all over the country so trying to find accommodation that has every thing you need to make your working life easier is a real challenge .  Sam the host was one in a million as was her accommodation .  The biggest thing i learned from this accommodation is never assume that because the price is low that it will be at best ok. I had everything i needed for a great sleep, as well as coming “home” each night and being warm, and able to cook for myself in the beautiful kitchen .  There was loads of storage too so I didn’t have to do my normal and live out a suitcase. She even gave me my own little soap dish in the bathroom, and I even managed to do my laundry there too .  With the horrendous weather I endured whilst there (storms for 3 days) it was a godsend to be able to launder my drenched clothes . My host was very friendly and it was lovely having someone to ask you how your day when i arrived “home” x
