Single bedroom in a three bedroom apartment. I live in a nice building with swimming pool, BBQ area, playground, party room, and a small soccer/volleyball court. It's on the same street as Corcovado, near by subway station, bus stop and 20 minutes walking from Aterro do Flamengo beach. I like traveling and exchange experiences. My children live near by and we usually go out together. We like to go out to dance, go to the movies and plays, museums, Samba School and specially Carnaval. Laranjeiras is a neighborhood where you can enjoy Carnaval time, lots of parades happen a few blocks away from the building. There are some bars/restaurants around the building and clubs on walking distance as well. Ps: I do have a very gentle nice cat. Her name is Flor (Flower).

Very friendly neighborhood. Lots of restaurants, close to a subway station, bus stop, the same street of Corcovado. 15/20 minutes from Santos Dumont airport.

It's been more than 6 months I am on a tour in Latin America and I have never had any issues with my hosts. But with Afife it was a terrible experience. In the beginning she was very welcoming but it was getting worse and worse day after day. I had booked the room for a month and I wanted to extend my stay but I decided to leave that apartment. She used to move my staff in the kitchen without asking me; moving my food from 1 place to another in the fridge, on the shelves; She even entered my room without my permission. She let me use the washing machine only once. The apartment is very noisy; she used to invite her neighbors & friends and they were making a lot of noise, especially when I was trying to rest. If you book with her, just go there to spend the night and disappear the next day as she is very territorial and she doesn't like when others touch her stuff, for example in the kitchen.
I didn't want to present my stay this way, but it's the reality.March 2023
What to say ! Everything beyond my expectations, excellent location, all services available nerby ,very safe neighborhood with very sociable and friendly people, and then Afife my host,exceptional person who knows her city like few others. If today i feel a little more "carioca" it is certainly thanks to her, muito obrigado Afife, ate'logo

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
