We are a young family of four, my husband, two young kids (8 & 7) and myself.
We live in a beautiful, quiet, family neighborhood in South Burnaby.
We are surrounded by trees with a short 5-8 min walk to the 22nd Street Skytrain station. Bus stop in front of the house.
We are just about 20 min away from downtown Vancouver by Skytrain.
Less then 10 min from the largest Mall in British Columbia by Skytrain.
We are looking to host only respectful Students or Adults.

House Rules:
Check-in: 2pm / Check-out: 11am
I am flexible and happy to accommodate if needed.
On check-out day, please strip the bedding and leave it on top of the bed, I will wash all the bedding when you have checked out. Thank you.
Payment for the stay must be paid on the day of arrival or before arrival via E-Transfer or Cash.
Upon arrival, you will receive the Wi-Fi password, your own set of towels and a run-down of the house rules listed.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves daily.
Cleaning supplies and a vacuum will be provided.
Hosts must be given accesses one time a month to ensure that the room is kept in an orderly, clean and safe manner. This is for the health and safety of all guests and host family. (For stays over 1 month)
A fully equipped kitchen is provided for all house guests.
*Smoking of any kind is not allowed.
*Respectful adults only.
*NO smoking, NO vaping, NO drugs. NO pets. NO guests.

We have young children that sleep during this time.
Kitchen:
Please wash your dishes after each meal.
Please do not keep food on the counter for long periods of time, this can cause ants or flies.
Please do not touch other guests’ food.
ALWAYS use the vent fan above the stove when cooking.
Please keep the fridge clean.
Please do not keep food for a long time in the fridge and make sure that your food is always covered with wrap or foil.
Please do not throw garbage into the sink.
To respect your fellow guest and hosting family there will be no cooking after 10pm, warming up food quietly is fine.
Bedroom:
Please no hot food/meals in bedroom rooms, snacks are okay.
Please no wet shoes and umbrellas in the bedroom as it creates mold.
Please no burning of candles and/or incense.
Laundry Room:
You will find a laundry basket in your bedroom for your convenience. You can do a load of laundry once per week. Please wash your sheets at least every 2 weeks to keep things hygienic. We will happily provide you with detergent for the duration of your stay.
Please always remember to clean out the dryer vent out, if you do not, it can cause a fire. To respect your fellow guests, there will be NO use of laundry after 11pm unless you have a laundry emergency, and it is arranged with the Host.
Bathroom:
Please tidy the bathroom after EACH USE.
The bathroom should be cleaned daily, so that other guests can enjoy a clean space.
Limit showers to no longer than 15 minutes. Please do not take baths, it wastes a lot of water and occupies the shared bathroom. Always have the bathroom vent fan on when in use, this will help with air circulation.
Please do not use or touch other guest’s belongings or towels.
*Reminder: No visitors, no smoking, no drugs, no pets, no disrespect or aggression toward our house, our family or other guests.
*We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave our home immediately if the above rules are violated and/or a guest becomes disrespectful to host or house guests.

The accommodation was absolutely perfect. It was like a second home for me. And if I had any questions or problems, Tanya always helped me. My room was also great, I felt very comfortable and I had everything I needed for my time in Vancouver. Tanya and her family are such lovely people, so I can highly recommend them! Thank you for the great time. I look forward to seeing you again one day!

I loved my stay at Taynia's house. The house is great, everything is very clean and the house is very well equipped. Tanya is a sweetheart, very kind and pleasant and her family is adorable. I highly recommend it!!!

Living with Tanya and her family for a month was amazing! They were very nice and made me feel at home. The house had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and Tanya was always there to help me when I needed assistance. I'm really grateful for their hospitality and would highly recommend staying with them!

Tanya is a great host, very responsive and welcoming. House is steps away from bus stop and 2 blocks away from sky train. I enjoy the privacy while am still able to engage with the host and other roommate. Will definitely come back when I visit Vancouver again.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
