Welcome to Calgary!
My husband and I live in a 5-bedroom home. Our lovely home was built in the 1970s and has seen lots of love in all those years. We live in a safe and quiet neighbourhood with several walking paths. Our house has many windows, making it very bright during the day, especially in the kitchen. In the summertime, we have lots of flowers surrounding the house which adds to our calming and homey atmosphere. I love to garden, which you will see in plants and flowers in and throughout my home, as well as a large greenhouse that we care for in the backyard. I also love baking and cooking. You will often find me trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
Guests have a private bedroom, living room, and a shared bathroom in our basement. Our house is close to all amenities such as grocery stores, shopping malls, and bus stops. It is also a 15-minute walk or a quick bus ride to the Ctrain station (Which can take you all around the city). Unfortunately, we are not available to host FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN or pets.

About the Area
Our house is located on the northeast side of Calgary. We are 10 minutes away from the airport, a 3-5 minute walk away from multiple bus stops, 15-minute walk to the city transit (Ctrain) station that runs throughout the entire city. The Ctrain can also take you to all of Calgary's post-secondary institutions.

House Rules
I ensure the house is always clean and safe to live in. I want my guests to do the same, clean up after yourselves and respect the home.
Doors are all double-locked as soon as the last person gets in. Upon your arrival, you'll be given a key, if you lose your key, you'll be responsible for purchasing a new one.
Make sure to keep the noise down after 10 pm, please. We all want to sleep well after a hard day of work or school.
No stranger coming inside the house without my permission and it has to be agreed upon.
As you can see in the photos, there are two bedrooms with a shared living space and washroom.
Please treat our house as your home. We want you to enjoy your stay and have fun.

Tessie was very welcoming and kind. She is a really great host who cares about her guests. She made me very comfortable and help me settle into calgary.

My sister and me had an awesome time staying at Tessis House. She and her daughter Aleks took very good care of us.They are both so really nice and awesome!!!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
