Our home is on a 1/2 acre with garden, apple and hazelnut trees! We are close to: North Island College, hospital, pool, trails and hiking, both main island highways (.5 to 4 km) and close to downtown, ocean, salt water fishing pier, restaurants, coffee shops, adventure tours (2 to 10 km). I live here with one son in the attached suite and another son is nearby. This is a large, basement room suitable for one or two people. You will have access to kitchen, private bathroom (very occasionally shared with house guests), sundeck, garden and yard. I walk and hike, meditate, do yoga, tend my garden and go to work! I like to read and write, I am introspective and appreciate others' introspecion and wisdom! I speak half-fluent in French!

About the Area
Our home is rural and urban as we are so close to our little downtown and shops, boutiques, Spirit Square which hosts music and dance all summer. The street is busy at "rush hour" nowadays, as it connects indirectly from the Inland Island Highway, but it is a quiet and safe neighbourhood! We are on a bus route and are near Beaver Lodge Lands, The Campbell and Quinsam Rivers, Elk Falls Provincial Park with the suspension bridge! We have some big box stores, but greatly value local entrepreneurs with quaint boutiques, great coffee shops, excellent hospitality and tourism, and strong support for our indiginous peoples and culture.

Payment is due on 1st of month, every month.
1 week notice requested if leaving early on a monthly rental.
One parking spot available to you the guest.
Please keep your space clean and tidy especially the kitchenette as part of this area is a shared household space.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
