Homestay Available Now - Quiet, elegant family home occupied by a teacher, two teenagers, two cats and a puppy. This large 6 bedroom 4 bathroom house is located in a well established, south end, safe neighbourhood in the Rickson Ridge area. We are a one minute walk to public transportation with a direct route to University of Guelph and Centenial High School. Walking distance to restaurants, banks, and a major mall (Stone Rd. Mall). This beautiful bedroom/sitting room (12'x 20') has it's own separate entrance on ground level. Kitchen is available if you'd prefer to make your own meals or join in our family meals for an additional cost. Room is furnished with a comfortable double bed, wardrobe, mini fridge, leather couch, table and chair. Unlimited wireless high speed internet, access to laundry facilities, and shared bathroom. All utilities are included. Large covered deck with hot tub and outdoor kitchen is waiting for you to relax after a long day at school or work.

About the Area
Guelph is 45 minutes west of Toronto with a population of 120,000. A one minute walk to transit that will take you directly to the university of Guelph in 5 minutes. Walking distance to hiking trails, grocery stores, restaurants, and banks. Our house is in a quiet, family oriented neighbourhood. Our large 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms will allow lots of space for my 3 teenage high school kids (15,17.18). I am an elementary teacher who enjoys family meals, sports, music and solitude. We have two indoor friendly cats, and a large backyard with an enclosed deck backing onto green space. We would love to welcome you to our home and our beautiful city.

Maureen is a great host, kind and helpful. The room and the house are perfect for a stay in Guelph and the neighbourhood is very nice. I'd recommend this to everyone planning on coming to Guelph.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
