I am a single retired woman who lives alone with my small dog. I have been fortunate to travel spending time in Spain and considerable time in the Caribbean vacationing and doing volunteer work primarily for 3 years in Haiti teaching English.
I live in a beautiful area of the city in a townhouse surrounded by trees and green space. There are 3 bedrooms in total and 2 full bathrooms, an efficient kitchen, a livingroom/diningroom leading to a lovely patio in the back with a BBQ, gardens and a large common park-like area with a swimming pool.
The suite I have to offer is on the private lower level and features a bed-sitting room, walk through closet leading to a private 4 piece bath. There is a desktop computer with wifi and a flat screen TV with cable. The laundry facilities are down the hall. My home is within walking distance of all amenities and the city bus is conveniently located right at the back door. The room has been completely renovated in the past 2 months. New carpeting, bathroom flooring, freshly painted throughout. It is just lovely. I will post a picture ASAP. Parking is available.
I have my guitar in the living room if you have any musical interests you want to keep up with. I mentioned I do have a small dog that is very well behaved and has never in 7 years been on the lower level. She is quiet and friendly and is a favorite with the children in the area.

About the Area
My home is located in the NW area of London. It is known as a very safe, quiet, family neighbourhood. The buses on the main routes north/south and east/west are right at the back gate. It takes about 12 minutes to be downtown and with a transfer, 25 minutes to the University of Western Ontario. Shopping in London is outstanding as are the restaurants and bars. Perfectly situated in SouthWestern Ontario, Toronto is 1 hours and 45 minutes to the east. As a major cosmopolitan city in North American, Toronto entertains all of the best in music, theatre, sports, shopping, outstanding sites and fascinating old neighbourhoods which all offer their own unique culture and history. Beautiful beaches on our freshwater lakes are under 1 hour to the south, Lake Erie and the north-west, Lake Huron. Georgian Bay is straight north of the city 3 hours, where one can travel along the Bruce Peninsula up to Tobermory, the top fresh water diving destination in North America. There are government operated provincial parks for camping, beach days and walking trails for hundreds of miles.

-There is to be NO access to the upper floor. It is my area where I have my bedroom, bathroom and office.

Arrived as a stranger, left as a family member.
My stay was eight weeks long. Patty welcomed me so lovely. I did't feel like a stranger by the second minute I was there.
If you need someone who is able to understand that you need time by yourself then you should stay with Patty. If you need someone who is able to understand that you need some company and very good conversations then you should stay with Patty. She recognizes your mood in a second and gives you what you need to feel comfortable. And I promise you will feel comfortable. She knows a lot about everything. So you can have very deep and serious conversations but you can also have a lot of fun and laughs with her. This person made that I really felt like being at home. She will accept you the way what you are and she will support you in every way which is possible.She gave me insider information about London and its surroundings. She showed me London. She improved my english a lot. She's just the person who made my stay PERFECT.
Everything was just uncomplicated and PERFECT.My opinion is that this is everything you need to know. But I will also give some information about the rooms you will stay.
You are staying in the basement in a nice and not tiny room. You have a desk, TV, a separate room for your clothes and an own bathroom. Everything was clean and very nice. There is not a thing to complain about.
I will never stay in a hotel when I am back in London Ontario. I will always stay with Patty when the place is free.

great home, wonderful host. Room had all I needed, full ensuite bathroom, internet and TV. Very neat, clean and welcoming. Could not have been a better experience!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
