Located at the heart of the Plateau-Mont-Royal, the LKVM Studio serves as a home gallery and workshop for the artistic partnership of Lekui and Solav. With its walls fully covered with art pieces and travel souvenirs, it is an ideal space for the curious mind and the art thirsty. In its vicinity are found natural and cultural locations such as the Mont-Royal Park and the La Fontaine Park. About the Area
The Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood is convivial, familial and safe during both night and day. We are located at only 5 minutes from the Mont-Royal Station, and at an equal distance between the foresty Mont-Royal Park and the lively La Fontaine Park, both accessible within a 10-15 minutes walk.
The famous Mont-Royal Avenue, which becomes pedestrian and animated during the summertime, neighbors our street and is a 5 minutes walk away. The neighborhood is tranquil; an elementary school is located on one of the adjacent streets, while the commercial Saint-Denis Street can be directly accessed from the other side. Lastly, the charming cobblestone-paved Duluth Avenue, which also becomes a walking street, is only a few blocs away.
Overall, the centralness and warmth of the neighborhood makes it an ideal anchor point from which to visit the main attractions of the Montreal Island.

It was a pleasure staying with the hosts in Montreal! The room I rented seemed a bit small, but the variety of interesting artwork seen throughout the home is very eye-catching and makes you feel like you're in a larger world. There's a lot of restaurants located on one street nearby, so there's no shortage of things to eat! For first-timers, it can be really hard to find a parking spot near the home, especially for those who do not know French or military time (i.e. 9pm is considered 21h in Montreal). For those looking for a spot, I suggest you call the hosts upon arrival so they can show you a good place to park near the home.

Vincent and Lekui were great hosts. If you are interested in art, it´s especially a nice place to stay. Their home is decorated with many well chosen items and their own and collected art. They are both very interessting persons and there is this vibrant feeling of art all around them. Even so they were really involved in their art projects, we found time to talk about art matters, bookbinding and Design. They made coffee for us every morning and made us feel really welcome at their home. I would love to come back some day and wish them all the best for the upcoming exhibition!
