My son and his wife are moving out to their own home and I now have an extra room to rent in my 3-bed plus den condo in uptown Toronto, a 5-minute walk to the Finch subway station where one of the two major Toronto subway lines starts.
I live with my husband, married 37 years ago, and my adult daughter who also plans to move out once she is married in November. I am a store manager in a global luxury clothing store, my husband is an IT project management professional and my daughter is a senior finance manager in a major telco company in Canada. My husband works on contract and usually works from home while my daughter and I travel to work.
We are a modern liberal Muslim family who practice our faith and keep it to ourselves. We also have a cat. She is inquisitive, friendly, loving and hyperactive. We call her Roo, short for kangaroo.
I also have an older son who lives close by with his wife and our 2-year-old granddaughter!
As for our condo, I have added the floor plan which should give a good idea of our layout along with photos and video of the room which will be furnished as shown.
In addition, our condo has a gym, sauna, pool, hot tub, movie, pool and indoor golf, party, meeting and external guest bedrooms which can be booked. Most of the facilities are at no charge, except for large parties and visiting guest bedrooms.
We are ideally looking for an adult female and would prefer a professional (sorry, single occupancy only) who can join me and my daughter for company cross-cultural learning. However, she may have to listen to my hubby's lectures and advice on a safe, independent and empowering life for women :).

About the Area
The location is bustling with traffic on Yonge Street (the longest street in the world!) with several restaurants and food stores open till late. The parallel Doris Avenue is quiet and green with plenty of walking areas and parks. The community is 60% Korean, 30% Persian and 10% others, including South Asians, like us!

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Feel at home for work, study and entertainment. Besides the regular furniture, The room also has a flat-screen TV, so enjoy viewing your favourite shows in private or join us in watching movies in our family room on a much larger TV.
We get our condo cleaned professionally every two weeks, however, it would help if the guest also followed the cleanness principle.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
