We are a professional family once again looking to open our house to international students during this long world wide struggle with COVID-19. We practice and adhere to strict bc health and safety guidelines and protocols and expect the same.
We are within walking distance of major bus routes, shopping centers, university of Victoria and Camosun College Lansdowne Campus, numerous ESL schools as well as coffee houses and downtown Victoria.
We have two bright, sunny rooms which are furnished with a single bed, dresser, night table, desk, small fridge and dresser or wardrobe.
laundry is available on-site and is included and a laundry day will be provided to you. Personal items are not to be left in the washer or dryer.
Our third room is set up for two students and is geared towards family who are studying together. The room is equipped with two single beds, dressers, a wardrobe, two recliner chairs, a desk and night lamps. The room can be taken by one student but the cost is more expensive.
Students are responsible for providing there own food, drinks and snacks due to personal tastes and for making their own meals as the kitchen is available to use between 6:30am and 11:00pm, please note, ALL STUDENTS must clean-up and put away all dishes, pots and pans, wipe the stove top, counters etc, once they have finished making their meals or snacks.
We will offer meals to you especially on weekends when we cook but please don't expect it everyday.
Wifi is free and available if the student requires it, smoking is allowed just not in the house as their is a deck for this.
Student are required to keep their rooms neat and tidy, as well as assist with sorting recyclables and garbage and placing it in the appropriate container.
We have a room off the kitchen that has a couple of chairs, a sofa and a large screen 60" tv for the students to use and socialize with each other or to have friends over.

Our house is located a short 15-20 minute stroll from downtown Victoria, once there you will find quaint shops, trendy boutiques, the latest fashions and our very own china town.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Kitchen use is available from 06:30am to 10:00pm, clean up the kitchen when finished, wash all pots and pans, utensils, wipe down the counters and put everything away, no dishes left in the sink or on the counter.
Sort their garbage and recyclables and place in appropriate bins.
Keep their room tidy and clean.
Smoking is permitted outside on the deck or on the front steps.
Provide their own groceries, snacks and soda's.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
