I am originally from Germany but today, I live with my Colombian wife and three daughters in a small country house in rural Villa de Leyva, Colombia. The house is new but built in a traditional style. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and get away for a few days, we have a small apartment available for rent.
The apartment has one room with a double bed and another small room with a single bed. The private bathroom has a big bathtub surrounded by windows on three sides that let you enjoy the view of the mountains while taking a hot bath.
And of course you are welcome to use our kitchen or share the meals with us.

About the Area

We are located about 5 km from the bus terminal and the center of town. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to our house in "La Rosita". Rosita is the area where during colonial times, the people of Villa de Leyva grew their food. The soil is very fertile and today, the area is still used for subsistence and small scale farming. It's very quite here and the perfect place to get away for a few days. There exist many hiking opportunities close to our home, and I would be happy to point you in the right direction. Or if you feel like doing nothing, we have a small lake in our property surrounded by native trees where you can sit and relax.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
