This room is located in a flat on the 3rd (top) floor of a renovated colonial-style building which has 2 small balconies facing the street with views over Havana down to the famous Malecon. This clean private room has its own bathroom, air-con and safe. Breakfast and other meals can be provided at a small charge. Spanish and also dance classes available as well as taxis and excursions.
Guests will have their own key and come and go as they please. Use of the kitchen and the large living room is permitted.
The host, Miriam, is a retired engineer who speaks good English and can offer guests a lot of information on all the sights and cultural events in Havana. She can act as your guide and also gives Spanish lessons at very reasonable rates. If you appreciate good home cooking, for a small additional cost, Miriam can prepare you authentic Cuban cuisine.
This room is legally registered and one or both guests will be asked to complete a registration form. Guests can pay in Sterling/Euros or CUC (Cuban dollars)

About the Area
It is very conveniently located for transport to Old Havana and in walking distance of many tourist attractions. Located near the University, Havana Libre & Nacional hotels. Close to the famous Malecon. We are only 25 minutes drive from the airport.

House Rules
You are requested not to smoke in the bedroom but are welcome to do so on the balcony. There are no rules as such and we expect guests to be as respectful of other residents as they would in their own homes. Any special requests can always be discussed.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
