I’d like to highly recommend this accommodation.
It is located in front of Malecon, so I was able to have a breakfast by seeing the sea in the morning and spend a relaxing moment by drinking a beer at night.
And The old Havana area is available by walk. The host was so nice and kind. I do not speak Spanish at all, but I could communicate with body language without any problems. She helped to book a TAXI when I traveled to other city. I was really satisfied with host and accommodation. So I stayed here again after traveling to other city. Just of your information, this accommodation appears in the title background of the movie “The Fast of the Furious-8”.
Wonderful location, I can totally recommend it. Amazing hosts that are kind, helpful and up for interesting conversations. One night, Amarilis cooked us a really good dinner. The view from the balcony is just incredible, we spend whole evenings sitting there and enjoying the view with a good rum. I would always come back, already looking forward to it! Thank you for everything, see you soon!
Very Nice room, clean and with the Best view and good location. Friendly and very helpful family. The only minus was the communication. My spanish is not good and their english was not good Either. There is a very Nice restaurant next to the lication I Recommend eating lunch and Dinner. Amarelis' coffee was the Best and with the Nice weather and the view from the Balcony it was perfect. Thank you for a Nice stay and I hope to come and stay again some time. Best Kamma, Denmark
I'm so glad we stayed with Amarilis and her family. They are very welcoming and helpful.
The morning coffee with a view of the Malecon was a plus. They helped us get tickets to the
Buena Vista Social Club, and arrange for tour guides around the city one day (Including Casa de Hemingway, and then they helped us with a tour into the countryside. The location is perfect. If I ever get to go back, I will stay with them again. Ciao!
Best place to stay in Cuba, the location was perfect for for anyone that wants to be near Old Havana and right on the Malecon street, the family were so helpful, warm and super clean. We had a great room with a window that opened to the ocean, A/C was nice and cold, bed was comfortable, everything was clean and they changed our sheets on Day 2. Bathroom was always clean, hot water was always available on a flip of a switch, Mini fridge was there as well. Drinking our coffee in the morning on the balcony Looking over to Malecon was great. The only I can say that maybe challenging are the stairs to the apartment is very narrow and 3 floors up, and there was also a very narrow staircase in our bedroom that led you to the bathroom and mini fridge, but we wanted the Cuban experience so no complaints at all for the stairs just warning those who don't want to climb stairs everyday. Only thing that was disappointing was not being able to stay a little longer with the family there. They are truly great people and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Just note Cuba doesn't have grocery stores, water and ice is not easy to find and eat at the Paladars. Next to this BNB there is a all you can eat Buffet, there are also street food rights near the building, you can pretty much walk anywhere you want no taxi really needed unless you want to go to the other side of town.
Perfect place in the city with a amazing view over the boulevard. Besides the good location the rooms were clean and well organized. The lady of the house made us a nice breakfast every day which we eat at the balcony. We did not try the food at the house in the evening, but other people who were also staying in the house loved it! Really recommending this homestay!
Nice accommodation! Just a incredible location in middle of the Center of Havanna, facing the sea.
The family is super friendly and answers you every question.
I was skeptical to travel to an unknown country alone. However, Amarilis and her family made me feel welcomed and it truly felt as if I were amongst family. They are humble and available for any questions that I had. They also arranged for my taxi to the airport. I had a room with its own bathroom, AC and access to a beautiful window view of the malecón (don't miss out the malecón at sunset). Room was cleaned everyday and she stocked my fridge with bottled water as needed (additional cost) . The house is located literally walking distance to mostly everything .. City centers, el vedado, old Havana, the Cuban missile crisis tunnel, Havana Cathedral, restaurants (also paladares) bars etc. You can grab a cab to "el morro" for less than $5 (US) to experience the cannons fire at 9pm (every night). I recommend anyone visiting Cuba to book a room here. I will be back soon to visit.
Thank you Amarilis, Ervert and Kerem (daughter) for contributing and making my first solo experience memorable. :)
