Boutique Las Maletas is located in the heart of the Historic Center of Havana designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, one of the most culturally rich urban sites in the Caribbean, whose colonial past is evidenced in the variety of impressive castles, cathedrals, buildings, mansions, and museums.
The property is located a few meters from:
• The famous restaurants Bodeguita del Medio, the birthplace of the Mojito, and El Floridita, the cradle of the Daiquiri.
• The National Museum of Fine Arts, the most prestigious museum in the country and where the best of Cuban plastic arts of all time are exhibited.
• The Cathedral of Havana, visited by His Holiness Pope Francis during his visit to Cuba in September 2015.
• Central Park.
• The Grand Theater of Havana.
• The Capitol which was built with plenty of similarities with the Washington Capitol in the USA.
The property is a beautiful construction of the early twentieth century that has been restored trying to preserve its constructive structure and its original elements such as floors, interior, and exterior carpentry, glass, and hardware.
We offer a non-smoking, comfortable, and friendly environment with staff that will help you with everything you need to make your visit to Havana a memorable experience. Museums, attractions, historic buildings and monuments, restaurants and the well-known nightlife are some of the charms offered by the city.
We offer you all the necessary services to make your stay in the largest city in the Caribbean an unforgettable experience. Rooms (Non-smoking) At Hostal Las Maletas we have twelve (12) comfortable double rooms to rest and relax and you will be at the foot of the favorite area of foreign visitors.
In Old Havana, in addition to admiring the colonial architecture from the early sixteenth century to the mid-twentieth century, you will find cafes, restaurants, bars, cultural centers, art galleries, boutiques, parks, and more for entertainment 24 hours a day.
All rooms have fans, air conditioners, electronic safes, independent bathrooms with pressurized hot/cold water, and mini-fridges stocked with daily replenishment (water, soft drinks, and beers).

About the Area
Our house is located on the north side of the city in a lively but safe part of Havana. The house is situated within one of the favorite district of Old Havana for foreing tourists. We are only 20 minutes’ drive from the airport.

Kindly be aware that you will be staying in the oldest part of the city so be gentle when using our spaces and utilities, for instance, do not throw or flush papers or objects in the bathrooms. You must use instead the waste baskets or trash deposits.

It is not allowed to bring drugs or prostitutes (Jineteras) to our place. You will be penalized ($) and the rest of the stay canceled.
The booking confirmation will require a deposit via wire transfer in EUR or USD for 30% of the reservation amount to our bank account in Madrid, Spain. The remaining amount may be payable in cash (EUR or USD) upon check-in.
Check-in: 4:00 PM, but early check-in is subject to availability.
Check-out: 12:00 PM, but late check-out (paid) will be granted upon availability.

Nos alojamos toda la familia en el Hostal "Las Maletas" 6 noches (del 19 al 25 de marzo). Dirigido por Alejandro y su esposa y magnificamente atendido por las recepcionistas con las que cuenta, no tenemos absolutamente ninguna pega, tan solo elogios.
La localización es maravillosa; en el corazón de la Habana Vieja (situado en la misma calle que la celebre "bodeguita del medio), en un barrio con sabor a auténtico y a un paso de todo.
El trato es inmejorable; tanto los propietarios como las recepcionistas buscan que te encuentres lo mas a gusto posible y se agradece una barbaridad. Los desayunos que sirven son muy completos y sabrosos
Estrenado en Diciembre de este año, las habitaciones estan en perfecto estado, cada una equipada con neverita y A/C. Al volver cada dia te las encuentras perfectamente limpiadas y organizadas.
En definitiva, totalmente recomendable, sin duda lo elegiremos con los ojos vendados en nuestra siguiente visita a esa ciudad tan especial.

Great place super friendly staff. All good only need to be patient with shower water as it's in Old Havana and water pressure is sometimes low. Good location will stay again !
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
