Marilu was extremely welcoming and fun to stay with. She goes out of her way to make her guests' experience a good one. There's nothing she doesn't find a solution to. The room is perfectly clean and equipped. Thank you Marilu.
Marilu is a great host with a good sense of humor! She is also a professor in Cuban history, so she could teach us so many things about Cuba. Besides that, she made us a delicious and huge breakfast every day and she gave us advise about the sightseeing hotspots of Havana. Marilu's apartment is perfectly situated in the historic center. We highly recommend this place!
We stayed at Marilu’s casa for three months. The location is perfect two blocks away from Plaza Vieja in the heart of Old Havana. Everything is walkable. I loved the room. It is spacious, airy, and bright with the luxury of two balconies with a cross breeze. It is nicely decorated but also practical with little shelves throughout. The room has its own spacious bathroom. The AC and fan are excellent. There is a good size closet. Marilu keeps the place extremely clean. Breakfasts are healthy, varied and delicious. Marilu goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and pays attention to every detail. We could not have made a better choice for our three month stay!
We stayed 5 nights at Marilu place. Wauw, it was the best beginning of our 3 week trip in Cuba. She is so friendly and helped us with any questions we had. The room is great, two balconys, best bed we had in cuba and a big bathroom. Everyday clean and a great breakfast. The breakfast is so fresh and big, so she always made a joke about me........AnnaMaria, when you leave my please, you''re going BOOM. If we go back to cuba we are diffently go back to marilu.
Marilu, thank you for the great time and all the cuba lessons.

We stayed stayed with Marilu for 4 days. She was the must caring and fantastic host during our 3 week trip around Cuba. Would recommend her to anyone who thinks about staying in Havana. The room was great and with the breakfast made by Marilu, we were set for an adventure every day.
We stayed at Marilú’s house for 4 days in early July. She is a great host, extremely friendly, social, and attentive. She has a wide network of contacts; she helped us organize salsa lessons, make reservation of casa particular in Trinidad, and asked one of her friends, who is a doctor, for advice when I had to see a doctor in Havana.
She is always happy person and we really enjoyed talking with her, plus she is an incredibly knowledgeable person. We learned a lot about how Cuban people make living and the reality that Cuba faces as a socialist country.
Breakfast is big and delicious with plenty of fruits, freshly made juice (every day different fruits), bread, eggs….etc! Even when we had to leave early, she prepared breakfast to go.
The room is always kept clean, equipped fridge, air-conditioning.
Here you can really feel like home and we’d definitely come back to Malilú’s house!!
We stayed a total of six lovely nights in Marilu's casa in Havana. Not only is it a superb casa situated in the heart of Old Havana, with a brilliant view of the El Capitolio from one (of the two!) balconies, Marilu was a tremendous help to us during our stay. She organised travel, made us the best breakfasts (which were big enough to feed a small family!), and taught us Spanish where applicable. This really came in handy, especially once we left Havana for other towns in Cuba. But what made our stay most special is that Marilu made us immediately feel welcome and made the initial daunting experience of taking on Havana easy and enjoyable! Marilu, thankyou for making our experience in Cuba so memorable. To anyone coming to Havana: we could not recommend staying with Marliu highly enough! Gemma and Ted :)
Excellent host. Friendly and provided us advice on the things to do and where to go and also recommended us the other Casas out of Havana. A history teacher, marilou also shared with us some interesting history of cuba
We stayed at Marilu's house for two nights and were sorry we couldn't stay longer. Marilu is very friendly and being a history teacher she can tell a lot about the country and its culture. Furthermore she had good suggestions about where to go in havana, and she makes an excellent breakfast. She is one of the most warm women we have come across. The location is brilliant, in the middle of a vibrant street in old Havana. Rooms are clean, beds are good!
Marilu was our favourite person we met in Cuba and the best homestay we stayed it. Marilu is a lovely lady with a heart of gold & very caring person.
I recommend everyone to stay with Marilu when visiting Havana. Our Room was very clean, Breakfast was excellent, she sorting out a taxi to collect us from the airport and gave us lot's information. Also her Casa is in a great location.
We miss you Marilu. I wish a could give you a hundred hearts.
